57. The Tale From The Past-3

'I have to leave you but I expect you to wait. No matter how much time I take. I will come back.'

Flashback Continues:

"What are you saying your majesty?", Jinki gasped.

The King's stern gaze didn't falter. He eyed down at the alpha with disgusting eyes at first. Even if the alpha in front was the village chief, he still was a lower class in his eyes. But he had to do this. Since it was it's his dear daughter's wish.

"Didn't you understand? I want you to betrothe your younger son with my daughter."

"But he hasn't even presented yet my lord...", Jinki tried. He saw Princess Lisa who was newly presented as an Alpha gave a smirk to him. She was sitting besides her father, looking exactly the copy of King. That same proud and arrogant face.

"So what? Everyone in Busan has heard about him as well as about holy devotee's prophecy too. He's soon going to present as an Omega. Besides how dare you try to question me.... We are royals. I am offering your son better than he can ever get in his whole life!! You should grateful to me...", The vicious tone of the king cut through Jinki's mind. He wanted to scream at that proud king he was basically asking him to gift his dear son to his daughter. And even if they were royals, he didn't trust them at all. Especially when it came to his sweet little Jimin.

"You Majesty, I request some time. I am not refusing you. But I need time for my son. He needs to know this first.", Jinki found an easy way for now from this situation. He needed to do something. There was no way he was going hand over his son to these people.

He also knew that when next time Lisa goes to rut, she will use Jimin, no matter if he's presented or not despite his age.

"I'm sure you know you don't have more than a day, Jinki.", King's voice boomed through hall and Jinki bowed in a silent aggreement before taking his leave.

Jaehwan came back from meeting Jimin.

Before he could step inside he was met with a feral Lisa. She was seething ever since Jinki made exit from their. It was a clear rejection to her.

How dare he reject her!!

Jimin is hers. No one else's.

She knew very well very well where was Jaehwan coming from. Without any thought, she approached the older boy and grabbed him by his hair. Jaehwan winced at the pain at his scalp but didn't fight it. Because fighting always ended up in increasing bruises over his body.

"WHERE WERE YOU!??"

"Nowhere...", Jaehwan answered quietly. But it angered her more.

She pulled his hair even more.

"Your highness, I had asked him to bring some things over.", An old Omega maid interrupted to save the boy. Lisa gritted her teeth. She left Jaehwan and approached the  old lady.

"How. Dare. You. Defend. Him.", She screeched and slapped the Omega hard.

Jaehwan's eyes widened. The old Omega fell to the floor from the impact. Jaehwan immediately approached her.

"Take her to the cells. Let her rot there her entire remaining life.", She ordered. And the guards took her mercilessly dragging the old lady away. Jaehwan couldn't even help her. Tears were flowing nonstop.
