21. Threat

'I was lightening before the thunder.'

Beomgyu groaned as his head felt a little light than usual. Must be because of the concoction that beta made him drink a while ago before he fell asleep. But his stomach wasn't paining anymore. He felt better.

He slowly opened his eyes only to remind himself that he was at some unfamiliar place. The sunrays were coming in from the window of the hut. It looked like it was late sunrise. He abruptly tried to sit up but his heavy body from sleep and medicines stopped him from doing so. So he ended up groaning. And not even a moment afterwards someone came in.

"Hey hey... Be careful pretty...."

Beomgyu was left surprised to see the same female Alpha from few nights ago. He watched as she helped him sit properly and passed the water. He didn't even knew her name.

"What... What are you doing here?", He asked as the tan skinned Alpha looked him before her face fell into amusement.

"Shouldn't I be the one asking that? I became busy for few days. And you came lying here completely unconscious and injured. What's the matter?", Hwasa said. Beomgyu was confused.

"Where am I? Which pack are you from?", Beomgyu asked. Hwasa grinned and raised her hand to keep it on Beomgyu's cheek which held few finger shaped bruises. He flinched away with the cold touch of her hand.

"We are rogues. You are here because Taehyung found you in bad state and decided to help you. Now now... Tell me. Who that fucker was?", Hwasa said sweetly. But her last sentence held the poison in her tone which was quite clear. Now he was scared. First thing of concern was he was in the Rogue pack. He needs to go back before these rogues decide to do something bad with him.

"What?"

"I asked who did this to you?", Hwasa made her question clear. And Beomgyu shook her head when he thought about Lisa.

"I need to go back to palace.", He said quietly.

"Palace? Are you some Prince then?", Hwasa asked in amusement.

"I am a servant. I serve the Luna of our Kingdom.", Beomgyu found himself saying. Hwasa's eyebrow raised at that.

"So you work for Luna then?", She asked again.

"Yes. Now please let me go.", He said as he tried standing up. But Hwasa swiftly held him and pulled down.

"You maybe useful for us if you work for the Luna of Busan. I'm afraid but you have to stay here pretty. You can't go until our Alpha says so...", Hwasa said caressing the Omega's cheek where the ugly bruise had made its mark.

"B-but why? You won't gain anything from keeping me here. I'm not someone important.", Beomgyu tried to coax Hwasa who smiled at the confused Omega.

"Trust me. I don't know about our Alpha. But you have became are important for me since the day I saw you. And you won't leave until I let you...."

The Busan court was filled.

It was many days later that things looked pretty normal. All the trivial matters were held off until they were sure that Busan was safe from the very dangerous Alpha that was Jeon Jungkook. Ever since the letter from the Alpha came showing his regret for not joining the festival and the apology in general, they were sure that the Alpha meant no harm.

At first he was here to conquer Busan but since Lisa made a deal with him that was fair enough to not cause any battle, the matter was settled.

"Those families are yet coming back to complain about their missing Omegas even after telling that we are searching.", Jinyoung said to which Lisa frowned.

"If they come back just tell them that they are in the rogue pack so we can't do anything...", Lisa shrugged off. And Jinyoung nodded.

"Now this is wrong."

Everyone in court snapped their heads towards the voice. Hwasa was standing their with a lazy grin on her face. Her stance was like she didn't care about anything at all.

"You. What are you doing here without permission?"

"Now now. I came here as the spokesperson of the Owner of Nakdong forest. Which is may I remind you is the farthest part of Busan.", Hwasa grinned and welcomed herself in already filled court. All the people were staring at her in confusion and Lisa looked irritated.

"I know that.", She grumbled.

"Then how come you didn't invite our Alpha for the court, Alpha Lisa?", Hwasa asked raising her perfect eyebrow.

"When you learn the manners of this court, we might consider inviting you.", Lisa rudely stated.

"Oh, our Alpha was already here for the court. But I'll give our Alpha the message to find something else to do since we're not allowed in the court... Yet. Just hope that you won't have to forget your manners to meet our Alpha soon....", Hwasa said with gruff voice while she retreated her step.

"Were you just threatening me?", Lisa almost said growling.

"Whatever you want to think. Just don't say I didn't warn you..."

Jimin trailed slowly on the root while carefully searching for his anklet.

He was so worried since Beomgyu was yet missing and no one knew where he was. And on top of that his anklet. So since Lisa was busy in the court, he braced himself and came out to find it on his own.

Of course the Betrothal anklet is one of the most important thing in the marriage. It was the sign that showed that he was taken. And after the consummation, Lisa would wear him the pair of it. And if she finds out that he has lost the anklet, she would be so enraged. So he for the fifth time now searched the garden which he used to enter the palace.

Generally this garden was unused and only to be used in cases of emergency as an escape path towards the river. He had used this path on the festival day. So anyone else finding the anklet and keeping would be the likely rare possibility. He decided to check the path once again and looked even more thoroughly.

"Is ankle okay now...?"

Jimin almost broke his neck to turn around. And man did he almost loose his balance. Standing there with a smug smirk on the handsome face was the same alpha he was dreaming about ever since the day of the festival....
