71. Still Best Friend

"Is that a stain I'm seeing? You're not doing your work properly."

"Yes, because I am not a clothes washer like you."

"Then who's washing clothes now? Oh it's you, rabbit!!"

"At least I'm not a skunk like you!!"

"Do you think it's better?"

"Better than washing all clothes and rugs because their Omega is angry."

"You two!! Stop right now or else I'm calling Jimin here!!!", Taehyung yelled making the two Alphas flinch at his deep voice.

Jungkook and Taemin looked at each other before turning away their heads and grunting. Taehyung sighed looking at both. He knew there was no way those two would stop picking on each other.

"He came here first. I wasn't even talking with him.", Jungkook complained.

"I was here for a nice bath but someone has already made it a washing spot. I thought that this rabbit here has took upon a washing job suddenly so I brought my clothes too. He threw them away in the mud. Couldn't he be a little gentle about that?", Taemin yelled back.

"How dare you treat me like clothes Washer!!", Jungkook growled.

"Then why are you washing clothes all of a sudden? Do you think Jimin's gonna forgive  you just because you wash few clothes of him? What about all those bedclothes you stained all these years with different Omegas in it?", Taemin smirked.

"How dare you!!!", Jungkook growled and lunged at Taemin. Taemin immediately took defensive stance and pushed Alpha back.

Taehyung face palmed seeing slowly heating argument.

"What's going on here!!", An elegant and smooth but equally firm voice came from behind making all three of them turn around.

Jimin stood there in his beautiful white tunic flowing below his ankles. His long blonde hair braided together with wildflowers with help of Beomgyu. Yes, when Beomgyu came to know about Jimin being there, as their Leader's mate he couldn't have been more happy. He cried so much in Hwasa's embrace. Hwasa had promised him that she would get him to meet Jimin and she did, earning a hot night from her Omega in return.

Jimin had he hand rested on his barely swollen baby bump protectively. It has become an habit of him ever since he escaped Lisa's roof. Jungkook stood up abruptly making his way towards him. Before he could reach the Omega, Jimin raised his hand to stop him there.

"Jimin, my Luna... You shouldn't be out here in such thin clothes. Its cold my love.", Jungkook said with concern.

"Why do you care about my cold now when you always kept your bed warm!!", Jimin snapped making Jungkook make hurt expression, but the Omega wasn't going to give in to that puppy look.

"Taemin hyung, I want to eat wild berries. Let's go and pick some.", Jimin was angry yet he looked so cute with that adorable pout on his lips.

"I could pick some for you.", Jungkook caved in once again.

"No need!! I have my hyung for that!!!", Jimin huffed and walked away stomping his little feet. Taemin wordlessly followed him.

Jungkook looked at his retreating figure sadly. He knew this time he was in the wrong.

Jungkook stood in front of their room. Taemin slowly closed the door of the room and looked at the other Alpha.

"He has eaten too many wild berries while picking only. Not even one fourth portion was left behind. And roamed all over the place like some free bird. He is tired now and fell asleep almost instantly. Go and scent him but don't wake him up.", Taemin whispered, taking care of not making too much noise.

"Weren't you hating me just a while ago?", Jungkook asked with a raised eyebrow. Mapping the other Alpha's expressions.

"I don't hate you Jungkook. I am just upset at you because you didn't despised Jimin, your mate, for a while without even giving him any chance to explain in any way. You took him in just now when you saw that he himself was a victim all along. And now you act like nothing. You haven't even made up to Jimin for it. And that's why I am upset. But at the same time, I'm still your best friend who has grown up with you and know each and everything about you.", Taemin said. Jungkook's eyes softened. But then he shrugged it off.

"Enough of this now. Don't be a know it all just because I'm slaving off for my Omega. Once my Jimin forgives, I'm coming for your neck. Just mark my words!!", Jungkook shoved Taemin who returned a punch in his gut playfully.

"Go now. I don't want my brother deprived of his mate's scent...", Taemin shoved Jungkook inside the room who looked at him with a smile before retreating inside.

"Jinyoung. Where's Lisa?", The old King asked once again. The old alpha sighed and looked at the old King with pity.

"She won't come out, your majesty. She is not ready to face anyone yet. She's been drinking and destroying things and few Omegas from the town ever since that meeting. That's not healthy your majesty. You should talk to her. The Omegas she has abducted from the town are being searched for by their parents. A day would definitely come where all the town people would look upto Jeon Jungkook for help. And then it would be end for us. For now it's calm because no one knows this situation apart from three royalties.", Jinyoung narrated. The Old king nodded.

"Why don't we seek help from our old courtiers?", He suggested. Jinyoung shook his head.

"We can't take that risk. Its out of question your majesty. They must be raging from the humiliation they faced in this court and rest of our current people, almost all of them are Jeon's people. Whatever we have to do, it should be discussed among only three of us.", He said. The old King looked at him.

"Why... Why didn't you leave too?"

Jinyoung looked at him in surprise but then he calmed his expressions.

"Because I work for Busan. No matter who the king is...", He answered calmly.

"So... If my daughter is ripped off her position, would you work for that Jeon too?", He asked with concern. He felt alone. The meeting few days ago had brought a devastating news with them. That Jeon Jungkook had played a game so well that they were ripped off of everything they owned until now.

There weren't even any people left on their side. Busan's fate was in that Rogue's hands who was now standing in front of them as an Emperor. The owner of all lands.

If that wasn't enough, Her daughter, for whom he had done so much in the past is now standing on the edge with only options in her hand.

Leave or die.

He felt empty and alone.

"Honestly speaking, yes. I would have left it for her if your daughter would have earned my respect as well. But she just owed me loyalty because I'm a loyal person to my work. So yes, It doesn't matter who sits on the throne, I will keep working for the rule..."
