13: Essays And Beers

Marinette was looking out the airplane window, still thinking about Chloe.

She did change. She wondered why suddenly. Audrey was a hell of a package.

"Whatcha thinking about." she looked at Adrien who was sitting next to her. Marinette sighed. This guy.

She wants to be alone with her thoughts, he jumps in them. "Can you leave me alone for one fucking second?"

"Damn alright." he got back to his seat and started chatting with Thomas. She focused herself on the beautiful clouds in the air. She loved the view.

She took out her laptop and put on a movie to watch. The flight was long and she wanted to be alone. She didn't felt like talking.

Adrien glanced over to Marinette and then turned over to Thomas. "Hey, do you know why she's acting like that?"

"Hey, you know her the longest. We just share a dorm." Adrien sighed. He wanted to chear her up. He knew what he was gonna do. He'd make a surprise party tomorrow. Just for her. She'll love it.

Marinette entered the dorm and layed down on her bed. It was too late to even unpack and all she wanted to do was sleep.

Amber came in the dorm with Mia. "Hey, Mia is hosting a party, do any of you want to come? Adrien said he'll come. He just needs to find his tuxedo."

Marinette abruptly came up to sit. "I'm sorry, Adrien in a tuxedo? Oh I wanna see that. The guy never wore a tuxedo in these years I've known him."

Amber chuckled. "Well, he said he brought a tuxedo."

"Why would he bring a tuxedo to New York. Nothing happens here. It's not like he's gonna walk a catwalk."

"Well, he is Adrien Agreste."

"He never wore tuxedo's to catwalks. He told me once that they were uncomfortable."

"Okay, well, are you coming?"

Thomas shaked his head. "I told Gale I'd help him with his presentation the moment I would get back from Paris."

Amber looked at Marinette. "Marinette?"

"I can't and I'm not in the mood. I just saw that I got an text from Talia, a girl in my class that we have to write an essay for tomorrow."

"Miss Gonzalez?"

"You guessed it. So I'm gonna focus myself on the essay. Sorry."

"Well, maybe when I'm done with Gale, I can help you."

"Thanks Thomas, you're sweet."

Thomas winked and left the dorm.

"I'm leaving you both. Katherine told me she wanted couple pics before we'd go to the party." Mia left and closed the door.

Marinette opened her computer. "Amber, I'm gonna work on my essay. If you would please and leave."

"Yeah sure. I had to go to get ready for that party anyway."

She opened her emails and saw the essay had a deadline till tomorrow the first period. Miss Gonzalez is nice?

She opened Word and started typing. She looked at the email again and saw it had to be about Coco Chanel's life. Nice, she loved Chanel.

She spend her whole evening working on the essay. Eventually, Thomas came back from helping his friend.

"Hey, do you need help?"

Marinette looked at the clock on her laptop. 10 pm. She turned to Thomas. "No thanks, I can handle this."

Thomas understood and went to sleep. Marinette turned off the light and the bright screen from her laptop so she wouldn't wake Thomas.

She was sure she'd get a high grade for this.

Thomas woke up and saw that Mari was still working on her laptop.

"Did you get any sleep last night?"

"What?" Marinette looked up from her computer.

Thomas walked over to her and sat next to her. "When do you have classes today?"

"At 3."

"Great. Get some sleep. I'll do the rest if your essay. Cuz you can't go like this to your classes."

"But are you sure?"

"Yes Mari. Now go sleep."

Marinette hugged Thomas and crawled in her bed. Thomas turned off the lights, took Marinette's computer and went to Adriens dorm.

He opened their door and saw Adrien sleeping and Amber texting on her bed. Amber saw Thomas and got up.

"What are you doing here?"

He put the laptop on Amber's bureau and say on her bed. "I put Marinette to sleep. She was up the whole night to write her essay. I told her I'd write the rest for her."

"That's nice."

"Yeah. Is Adrien still sleeping?"

"No I'm awake."

Adrien got up and sat there. "Ugh, my head hurts."

"He has a hangover from last night. He was wild."

"Hey, to my defense, I never drank alcohol in my life."

"And you didn't take it easy too." Amber took out her phone. "I have a video."

"You filmed me?"

"Adrien, you took your clothes off!"

"How drunk was I?"

"Drunk enough to become a stripper. All you needed more was a pole and u could've been a stripper."

"Haha, very funny. I'm going to Oliver." he banged the door shut, leaving Amber and Thomas.

"Alright, I'm gonna finish Marinette's essay."

"Yeah. And I have class in 2 hours. I'm going to Dana. She's prank calling with a few friends."

Amber leaves and leaves Thomas goes to sit on a chair to finish Marinette's essay. If this is for miss Gonzalez, he'll have to do it good, because she hates Marinette. But as he was looking at Marinette's essay, hers would be the best one.
