22: Feelings And Plans

Adrien opened the hospital door and saw a crying Marinette on her knees next to an unconscious Amber.

"Omg-" Adrien walked in the room and stood next to Thomas and Talia who held Marinette company while she was on the floor crying.

"How long is she in this state?"

Thomas leaned in. "Since last night. We didn't leave the room."

Talia started listening in, into the boys conversation. "If something happens with Amber, someone has to keep en eye on Marinette before she does something stupid."

"You don't think-"

"Hey, it happened, I'm just saying."

A doctor came in and talked with Marinette. She just nodded and grabbed the three and left. Outside she fell on the floor crying.

Talia kneed next to her, hugging her. "Hey hey hey, what's wrong?"

"The doctors said she may never recover!" Marinette said, crying in Talias's embrace. "Can we stay like that? You're warm."

Talia smiled. "Of course."

Talia came Marinette's dorm in and sat next to her on the bed. "Ok, so I talked with our teachers and they said it was okay for you to not send your homework in right now. They said they understood, because of your situation with Amber and all that."

"Who said I wasn't gonna do my work?"

"That's what I was afraid if. You're overworking yourself. I think-"

"What you think is wrong. Leave me alone." Marinette stormed her dorm out.

Talia groaned as she layed on Marinette's bed. "She's so stubborn, holy-"

Thomas came to sit next to Talia. "Yeah, and I share a dorm with her. She's working day and night. It isn't healthy."

Talia turned to Thomas. "Hey we should organize a party for her."

Thomas made a face. "While Amber is in the hospital? Mhmm."

Talia made herself fall on the bed. "Ugh maybe it isn't such a good idea after all." they both turned to each other. Thomas admired her dark cherry red hair and Talia touched his blonde locks. They both leaned in when Adrien opened the door. Both of them jumped off the bed and stood there awkwardly.

Adrien eyed them both. "I wanted to ask Talia something, but I sense I have interrupted something."

Talia ran to Adrien and held his arm. "No no no, you haven't interrupted anything. W- what did you wanna ask me?"

"Uh, about our homework-"

"Yes! It's in my dorm. Come with me and I'll show you."

"Okay?" they both left, leaving Thomas alone. He sunk on his bed, his thoughts all about Talia.

Marinette opened the door, angry and sat herself at her bureau and opened her laptop.

"What's wrong?"

Marinette turned to Thomas. "I had a class right now but the teacher send me out because I'm not allowed to overwork myself. And which I'm not by the way."

"Uhmm, you're not totally right, there."

Marinette got up and slowly walked towards Thomas. "So you're saying I'm wrong?" Thomas gulped. "You're saying that I'M wrong? You know what happens when you tell that to a woman, don't you, Tommy?"

Thomas got up fast and ran out of the dorm. "Come back here, you fucking pussy!"

Thomas entered Talia's dorm where Adrien and Talia were sitting, working on their homework. "We gotta have a serious talk about Marinette. She threatened me."

Adrien got up. "Did you eat her last piece of chocolate?"

"What? No!"

"Oh...but yeah, she's more irritated since Amber's in the hospital."

Talia got up and closed the door. "She yelled at me for only telling her that she's overworking herself." she took a sip out of her drink. "And I get that her beloved fiance is in the hospital on the verge of probably dying, but that doesn't give her the right to be so mean."

"You gotta understand that Amber may die right?"

"I'm kinda agreeing with Talia." Adrien sat on Nitya's bed. "I didn't react like this when my mom died."

Thomas scoffed. "Yeah cuz your mom died when you were what, three years old?"

"I was thirteen." Adrien looked Thomas dead in the eyes.

Mia entered the room, irritated. "Someone has to do something about Marinette. She just screamed at me for wearing the same pants."

"The only thing we can do is wait for Amber to magically get better."

Mia scoffed. "No, I'm not waiting for that. Marinette is driving me insane. But I can knock her out for a week."

The three of them looked concerned. "We're not doing that-"

"Eh. Missed opportunity to use my karate skills on a person."

"No. We need to do something. Grab the people she annoyed these few days. We're gonna set a plan to...I don't know, what should we even do with her?"

"We'll see."
