“Did you see my hoodie?”

We’ve been awake since 6a.m., and we’re packing now. I’m currently looking for my hoodie with the UCL bold letters in it. It’s my favourite hoodie. “Haven’t seen it. Check under the bed. I usually stuff them there,” he says with a smirky smile. I love his smirky smile.

I check under the bed and I see it, with a bit of dust and lint but it’s fine. I shrug off the dirt and stuff it inside my duffel bag. “I’m gonna take a shower,” I announce while zipping my bag. Daniel strides toward me and wraps his arms around my waist.

“Can I come?” he says with puppy eyes and jutting out his lower lip. I smile and kiss his lower lip.

“No, you may not,” I say. I remember what he said last night. His I love you in a whisper. I didn’t say I love you back, not because I don’t want to or I don’t feel the same way, but because I’m scared. I’m scared that I may just hurt him because I’m not human, I may be outside, but on the inside, I’m a Celestial and love between Mortals is forbidden. I smile at the thought of last night and kiss him softly, both of my hands cupping his face. I break away after a while and grab my towel. I open up the tub and take a quick bath. I wash my face and brush my teeth as thoroughly as possible. I go out and I see Daniel fully dressed in his usual button down shirt and khakis. His hair is dishevelled and hot. I don’t know why but lust is creeping its way again. I resist the urge to comb it back down. I’m in a towel because I forgot to bring my clothes to the bathroom because of his stunt earlier. He looks up from his phone, his eyes raking my body up and down. He strides over and hands me my duffel bag with a smile. I smile at him and grab my duffel bag, picking out a black dress with a see through stripe near the bottom seams. It goes down mid-thigh and it was a present from Stacy. It’s sleeveless and the neckline goes just above my chest, but not prude-y. I let my hair loose and it’s already gotten longer, it’s a centimetre past my waist. I don’t wear any make-up as usual, and I go out the bathroom, Daniel sitting on the bed on his phone. He looks up and smiles. “You look so hot,” he says with another one of his smirky smiles. I smile back and examine his clothes state. He has a white button down on and some khaki, he’s missing something and I know what.

“You’re missing something,” I say tapping my chin and squinting at him.

He looks at his shirt and shorts. “What?” he asks.

I grabbed it from his bedside table and put it over his eyes. He looks really hot with his glasses on. “There,” I say, inching backward and examining his frame. “You look hot.”

He looks at me with furrowed eyebrows and adjusts his eyeglasses with his index finger. “Y-You really think I look better with my glasses on?”

I smile and stride over to him, I wrap my arms around him and say, “You look best with your glasses on,” I say, craning up my neck to look at him. He looks down at me with a smile, not his smirky one, but his dazzling one. The one with the deep dimples and straight teeth. He cups the back my head and kisses me softly. I wrap my arms around his neck and pull him closer to me. He tastes so good. We’ve been doing a lot of kissing and making-out but I still can’t get enough of his lips. They work so well and so expertly. I’m hypnotized.

“Why do you kiss so well?” I ask him, my lips never leaving his. He smiles beneath my lips.

He chuckles softly and says, “Because I love kissing you.” He kisses me again, deeply this time. I moan and kiss him back, my arms still around his neck. He bites my lower lip and says, “I can’t get enough of these.” It comes out slightly muffled. He bites the skin of my lips and he licks them. It’s ticklish so I laugh and say, “Stop it,” but it comes out flirtatious and giddy, so he continues to kiss my bottom lip, making me insane.

Then there comes the loud obnoxious horn from outside. It’s non-stop and we break away.

I sigh. “I’m guessing that’s Nick,” I say. He smiles and lets go of me, grabbing our bags. He carries them with one arm and grabs my hand in his free one. I’ve brought some clothes that are capable of surviving a three-day stay at Nick’s hotel. I’ve also brought my suitcase of money for our stay and maybe buy some things. We stride downstairs and Daniel locks the front door and because of the luggage, he can’t do it. I laugh and lock it up myself. He smiles and we walk towards Nick’s fancy van. You’d think it came straight from a car brochure. It’s pretty and big, the kind actors use when they’re taking trips. The trunk opens and I help Daniel put our bags inside. We close the trunk and we open the sliding car door and we see about 3 more people excluding Nick, Stacy, and Jonathan. I’m surprised that Amber isn’t here, they look so inseparable.

I spot Nick behind the wheel and Stacy on the passenger seat. We sit in the middle seat while the others are at the farthest. “Hey Nick,” Daniel greets. Nick has his lips curled up in disgust and I don’t know why. We didn’t kiss in front of him. He gives a disgusted groan, which is mocking so we know he’s teasing us. “What the hell’s wrong with you man?” Daniel asks, slightly annoyed. Stacy snickers and covers her mouth to supress a giggle.

Nick revs the engine and says, “We can practically see you two having sex upstairs.”
