"Erelah, isn't your birthday in three weeks?" We are at our beds-Yes, Angels sleep-and Aingel is on the top bunk. Everyone else is glowing and asleep like, well-an Angel.

I exhale. "Yeah, I know." I inhale through my nose and think about the Orion painting. I close my eyes and smile. And I can't wait to plant my feet on the rich lands of Earth. "I can't wait."

I can hear her lean in to peak at me from her bunk. When she is finally in sight she says, "Just...be careful. They let you go for five months." Then she leans back and says something like 'Five months without Erelah.' it is true, they let us out for five months. Every angel that turns sixteen for the day gets transported in their birthday. It kind of looks like a birthday present from the Higher Committee. They say it's a test to see if some Angels can retrieve interesting pieces to improve our economy or something that can help us with some of our problems. Humans also make this wonderful thing called technology. They give you an answer. And some Angels retrieved the answer to life is 42.

"Erelah...?" Aingel asks

"Hmm?"

"Are you asleep?"

I give a weak laugh. "What do you think?"

"All right Angels!" Seraphina shouts. "Wake up."

My eyes fly open and rub the blurriness out of it. I stand up and change to a white dress that comes to my feet. I fly out of our building which is Prosperity Hall. I see Aingel with someone and they rest against one of the trees, telling something to each other and they laugh. It looks like Aingel is discussing something to her friend because she moves her hands in an expressive way. I approach them with a fly. Aingel sees me and smiles.

"Hi." I wave at Aingel and a guy.

"Hello. Oh! Um, Erelah, this is Xavier, Xavier, this is my best friend Erelah." She rocks on his heels back and forth with excitement.

"Oh, hi, Erelah," He outstretches a hand and I shake it.

"So," I say as I turn to Aingel "where'd you wanna go today? We're free because group A will work and Seraph-"

"Well," she says a little too loudly so she clears her throat and regains composure. "I was thinking of hanging out with Xavier because we have something to work on." She says the last part a little too emphasized.

"Oh," I say after a moment. "Oh. Well, um, okay sure." I've been rejected. "See you soon." I say and give the weakest of smiles and fly to Terra Pax or the Land of Peace. The Angels there are under the guidance of the Great Angel Manakel-Angel of Peace. We are allowed to roam in the Angel Country and to the different lands of Coveys. We are allowed to socialize to other Angels. And somehow, I feel caged.

Three more weeks.
