-HER-

I wanted to throw a fit like a child when Lyra told me to get dressed to meet Ezekiel but I knew that I had to get this done otherwise she would make the harem do it. So I put on the most decent looking dress that I could find but Lyra didn't like it.

She made me wear something very revealing and flashy that I would never wear in any situation, especially when I was going to see Ezekiel in the morning. As far as I remembered, he told me to meet him in his office so it was going to be a formal meeting but the dress suggested otherwise.

The two men were already back in the morning to kill my brain cells. As soon as they saw me in the dress, the two of them burst out laughing for some reason. I glared at them but it didn't seem to matter to them.

I was running late anyway so I decided to deal with them later otherwise Lyra was going to deal with me.

After making me squeeze in that dress, she finally took me to Ezekiel's office. I didn't feel prepared to see him after what happened between the two of us last night. Since Lyra was leading me, I couldn't help but calculate my chances of just running away from there.

We reached his office sooner than I had anticipated. Actually, I was so lost in my thoughts that I had failed to notice when Lyra had abruptly stopped before she opened a door and pushed me inside it. Before I could say anything to her, the door shut behind me.

As soon as I stepped inside the office, I saw Ezekiel standing by the window and staring outside. He turned around to look at me and froze, especially when his eyes travelled down my body.

I was so much tempted to open the door and run back to Lyra and hunt her down but judging by the look on Ezekiel's face, I decided that that would have to wait. His eyes darkened on my body and the air instantly buzzed with tension but he didn't move.

"Sit," he told me gently, nodding to the visitor's chair. I did so without uttering a single word while Ezekiel's eyes followed my each and every move. I didn't have to look at him to see where he was looking at. I could feel his eyes focused on my chest and my belly that was completely put on display by that pathetic excuse for a dress.

I crossed my arms on my chest, snapping his eyes away from there before he focused on my face. I glared at him and asked, "How are you now?"

He looked a bit surprised by my question before he asked me back, "You care to know?"

There was almost this sarcastic undertone to his that made me increase the intensity of my glare.

"Why am I here?" I asked him instead. At this, his eyes momentarily travelled down to my body before he answered, "Well, I had summoned you for some work but the way you are dressed..."

"What about it?" I asked him sharply, increasing the intensity of my glare.

"Never mind,"

"Why am I here?" I demanded again. In response, he looked at me pensively before taking his seat.

"I need your help," He answered after a moment. I cocked an eyebrow at him.

"My help?" I asked out loud, testing the word in my mouth because it sounded foreign coming from Ezekiel. I needed to make sure that I was hearing right.

"Yes," He gritted.

"In what exactly?" I asked, narrowing my eyes at him and leaning back.

To be honest, I was somewhat flattered that he was even asking me for help but then I reminded myself that this was Ezekiel and it would be immensely foolish to trust him so easily.

He took a deep breath before speaking, "My last two Generals died in a war a few months ago. It's a long process here to become a General. The selection is going on but it would take time for someone to take up the position. Until that happens, I need you to be my General,"

I was absolutely shocked for a moment. I didn't say anything and stared at him, waiting for him to tell me that he was joking with me but he looked very much serious.

"What?" I asked him.

"I need you to be my General," He told me.

"And what after a new General is selected?" I asked him.

"You will leave the position,"

"And go back to the harem? You just want to use me, Ezekiel and the fact that YOU want ME, a she-wolf to be your general is ironic given the fact that you objected at my oath ceremony,"

He remained silent for a while and didn't say anything. His face was blank but his eyes were simmering with just so many emotions as he looked at me.

"You don't understand how grave my situation is, Celeste,"

"You dug your own bed, Ezekiel," I told him honestly.

"What would you take?" He demanded.

"I want to go back to Zaeris,"

"Anything but that,"

"Then give the position to me permanently,"

"Why would you want to be the General forever if you will be the Queen?" He asked me, tilting his head. I was taken aback.

Did he really say that I would be the Queen? Of Lycans? These motherfvckers didn't even have a position for a Queen before yet he told me that I would be THE Queen?

This couldn't be it. Ezekiel must be up to something. This scheming son of a bastard was levering up his game with me.

I shook my head and told him, "Ezekiel, stop playing with me,"

"I'm serious, Celeste. I need a General very badly and I think you are the best one so far. Be my General. Help me, Celeste," He requested.

I glared at him with butterflies in my stomach.
