I turned off my lamp and laid down and stared at the empty ceiling above me. I heard Andrius sigh and close his computer with a click then laid down. We listened for a while to the AC run with a steady hum before Andrius said, "Peter," I looked at him and felt my eyes drift to the empty bunk above him then back to Andrius. "Cassio told me that he lost to Davies,"
"Yep, you told him to, didn't you?" I sighed, "Davies's car no matter how good it was, Cassio could have beaten him. Davies lacks the experience and analytical mind Cassio has. I bet you also unscrewed the bolts on his car because the Cassio I know wouldn't simply drive around with an engine rattling like that."
Andrius laughed softly, "Nothing can escape your eyes..."
I looked back at the empty bunk and felt the last few words Andrius didn't say speak in my mind...Just like your brother... I sighed, "I don't know what you're planning, but just know...I am your friend too."
"I know..."
"Until you want to tell me, I will please myself with the thought that you are setting the stage for your great return."
"You know I can't..."
"I will pretend you didn't say anything,"
"What will happen, will happen no matter what"
"But why Davies? There is nothing to brag about when you beat him..."
"I don't plan to..."
"What? Wait...you can't be planning to...."
"Good night, Pete,"
"But...good night Andrius..."
