The distressed air hung high between the six of them. Jeno typed away on the desktop of his as Jisung stood nearby. Meanwhile, Jaemin threw obvious daggers from his eyes aiming right at Chenle who was busy scrolling on his phone.
The silence was too loud even with the pressing's of Jeno's keyboard. Lethal and throat sucking was how it could be described.
"I know how you got these." Jaemin spoke through, words directing at Chenle.
Chenle rolled his eyes, still focusing on his phone. "Oh please, just be thankful I got them."
"Yeah, got them from your dad's collection of stolen shit's." The raise of voice in Jaemin's tone caused Chenle to glance up from his screen. "Do you even know how hard it is to find these tools." He returned the glare as Jaemin clenched his jaw hearing him.
He leaned against the marble counter as Chenle continued, looking back down on his phone screen. "I did what I had to do, don't blame me."
Renjun bit his inner cheeks in agony as he looked at his friend, "You know we didn't agree to be a part of that dirty work." Jisung turned betwixt the two older men, nodding in support of Renjun.
Chenle grit his teeth, "Shut up, You tell me how to get these expensive bike tools then?" Jisung shifted back beside Jeno. "We could've got them in another way, just not with the help of your fucking criminal dad, Chenle." A deep scowl dripped of Renjun as he fixed eyes with the fellow Chinese.
Jaemin sighed, placing a hand on Renjun's arm and softly pulling it. "You promised us we wouldn't be involved in any of that high shit your cracked dad does, yet here we are!"
Renjun's words were blazing for Chenle. A burst of rage piling up as Renjun didn't back down from speaking about his wrong doing's.
The room once again fell quiet. Bright beaming sunlight sparkled out of the clear, towering glass windows. A gloomy atmosphere took place instead of the usual cheerful summer time the six friends spent together. Their wrath was far more powerful than a weak summer rush.
A humours chuckle cut the line.
The rest exchanged glances as Chenle chukled out of nowhere. Putting his phone in his pocket and placing his elbows on his knees while sitting low, he looked at Renjun.
"What, Jun? Don't tell me you're starting to act like that dumb girl now-"
"Don't be ridiculous." Renjun shot his head to a smirking Chenle, knowing he was furious at this. Renjun looked away and closed his eyes.
Chenle clasped his hands together, "Good. Cause it better not be."
Renjun cleared the dryness that leaked his throat, fearing Chenle's sarcastic laugh from the inside. "Quit changing the subject asshole. You stole them or got all lovey dovey with him?" Chenle irked a brow at him.
"None of your business. Now, leave me alone. All of you."
Jaemin sighed, grabbing the loose schoolbag that lacked any thick, heavy textbooks. He was beyond upset at Chenle's habit of solitary.
Followed by Jeno and Jisung, they all walked out his apartment.
The curtins were far apart with the charming sun rays dashing into the large living room. Grey Smoke cut in fresh air as the cigarette stick lit up by slender pale hands.
"Dipshit." Renjun whispered out before leaving, a deep scowl dug into his features as he glanced at Chenle's careless figure smoking in closed doors.
