You looked at your mother in utter shock as she apologized for screaming. Without another look, she turned her back to you. Once she passed the door, you knew that she would never come back. Namjoon let her walk out in utter shock as he looked at the woman walking away. He looked at the girl he had just met today and the only thing he saw was a broken person.

"It was my first time seeing her in 12 years..." you whispered as sobs reached your throat "Only for her to leave me alone again..."

Namjoon's heart broke as his protective instincts flared. On the other side of the door, he saw Jimin clenching his fist as he felt the same overwhelming need. Protect. Protect. Namjoon walked out from the hospital room and closed the door after Sam walked out. Sobs of pure agony and sadness made the hospital a silent place as everyone seemed to freeze.

The hybrids around the room all looked towards the room Namjoon stood in front of. All the predators wanting to protect the small fragile thing who was about to break down in this room.

"Let me in." Jimin said

The fox hybrid wasn't really asking a question as Namjoon glanced at him. They were the one who let her out and the one who caused her to become a hybrid. As her ears appeared during her sleep, Jin had announced a pack meeting in her room. The vanilla flavor intensifying as Taehyung constantly traced her glands in her sleep. Arching into the touch, Taehyung couldn't hear his mates arguing.

"We're taking her in." he said after a heated debate had started

Looking straight at Jin and then at Namjoon, Taehyung didn't change his mind and Jimin was the first to agree with him. It had been less than 24 hours that they met the girl, but right now she needed someone. She needed someone to take care of her.

You couldn't help the sobs to fell out of your lips. It was so hard now. You had always hoped your parents to come at least once a year. But you barely got any video calls with them. You knew they were busy. Really busy. However, your hope never faltered until today.

The scent of mint reaching out to you, you snapped your head up as the fox officer you had met earlier in the day looked at you. He took his vest, his weapon and his uniform off. He was now wearing a white shirt and black jeans, looking perfectly normal. Wiping your tears, you looked at him. His fox nature scared you, but the scent he had was coaxing you closer to him.

"Jimin" you croaked as he nodded and sat beside you

"I'm sorry." He said

"What for?" you asked "It's not your fault. I'm not that appalled to have become a hybrid...my parents..."you tried to smile it out, but couldn't

"Hey, you can be sad. Rather I would find you weird for not being sad." He said taking your hand in his

A warm feeling took over my heart as I started trembling. Without another word, Jimin hurriedly pulled me to his chest. I let my cries, my screams and all my sadness pour out of myself. I didn't want to feel anything of this anymore. I wanted to disappear like my parents wanted me too. I had been craving their attention for so long, but when I finally got it...it was the worst day of my life.

"So here is your room..." Jin trailed off

The room was scentless and had scent cleaners all around. Sam had helped bringing boxes from my apartment with all my clothes. I had officially joined the Namjoon's pack. For several reason: first I wasn't used to being a hybrid yet, second I needed time to heal and adapt and third Jin and Namjoon didn't give me much of a choice. I stepped inside the room as Jin collected the scent blockers. Jin had a lavender scent that spread across the room as he carried the boxes inside.
