White ceilings.
A weight on my body. A stinging feeling in my arm.
I was without a doubt at the hospital. I barely managed to open my eyes and saw Yeonjun on a chair sleeping. I was probably in Soobin's father hospital. He was also the one treating for my heart.
The beeping sound of machine, far from unknown to me, I sighed.
The sound made the wolf who was resting on me snap his eyes open. I could feel a bandage on my head as I brushed my hand through the fur of the predator. I could only smile sadly at him.
"What happened?"
Yeonjun's voice resonated in the early morning.
It was a question.
But a question that wasn't asked softly. It needed an answer. A clear answer. A question that didn't take a silence for an answer. But that was all he got after a minute of silence. Yeonjun wasn't a very patient person.
He stood up and helped me to sit up nonetheless as he saw.
"Water." I mumbled my throat extremely dry
"Here." He handed me the bottle with a metallic straw and let me take small sips
I looked at him and his feline eyes were harsh. He wanted revenge. I couldn't use the excuse that I fell somewhere again. Soobin jumped of the bed and shifted in his human form. He was wearing sweatpants and some zip-up hoodie.
He sat on the bedside and sighed.
"I know that you don't want to talk about it. We more or less guessed that it was your mother-"
"It isn't. It wasn't her." I cut him off my voice clearer
"Then?" Yeonjun pushed
"Let's say that my mother found her mate. That this mate of hers has seven sons. Seven sons who are absolutely again their papa having a new relationship and a step sister." I explained
"So one of your brother did this? You got a brain commotion Eli! Do you realize that you could have...?" Yeonjun's voice had risen while he talked and seeing probably some wetness in my eyes he turned away.
I knew that he was frustrated.
I wasn't stupid to the point to not realize that this wasn't good: that it was even real bad.
"What did your mother say?" Soobin said as he embraced Yeonjun to calm down
"Her hybrid instinct kicked in." I whispered laying back down covering my eyes with my arm
Yeonjun was quiet. He knew what that meant.
Each time my mother's instinct kicked in, I had the slightest hope that she would take care of me.
At the end, I was always disappointed and sad. Yeonjun had argued about it with me millions of time. He had parents who cared for him, who accepted his relationship and supported him in his every action.
I had a father who abandoned me and a mother that couldn't stand the sight of me or if she did barely so. Now I had a step family who hated me more than anything else, except a weird step dad.
"Elina..." Soobin whispered
"Don't pity me Soo. You know I don't like it." I whispered as I sat back up
The door of the hospital room was slid open and the first one who stepped inside was Jungkook. His cheek was beet red. His eyes held nothing but hatred. He had been slapped. Daniel entered next and I thought he would grab Jungkook by the scruff of his neck if things continued like this.
