My name is Ela Thompson. I'm 20 years old. My parents are worldwide famous researchers. They travel around a lot and are never at home. I live alone most of the time. Everyone think that my life is wonderful and that I never had a hard time ever. However, it turns out that I have hemophilia and my heart is not the strongest one out there. I can't do heavy exercises or even walk too far by myself. That is the main reason why my parents got me bodyguards. Furthermore, four years ago, my parents found out that my blood held something special in it and other researchers heard the rumors of it and...let's say I almost got kidnapped 20 times.

My bodyguards changed. A lot. Some of them were betrayers, some of them couldn't handle the pressure and other weren't strong enough. I still go to college after all, even I sometimes have to use a wheelchair. It sucks. I'm not saying I have the worst life ever, far from it. But it sucks sometimes. That I can't do much and can't experience things that people my age can easily do. It made me a bit cranky and bitchy. I may not trust a lot of people. My last bodyguard almost managed to sell me of to some pharmaceutical company but my parent's bodyguard saved me in extremis.

Now we were in front of a Hybrid training center. Hybrids were another species, created by human people centuries ago. They were a minority and although they were people with feelings and everything, humans didn't give a flying fuck about it. In fact, hybrids were either trained as pets for humans or as soldiers for defending the humans. Some of them could live as family, but it was rare. Many shelters and training centers existed for hybrids and I had now a meeting with one of the trainer to get bodyguards for myself.

My parents had beaten themselves up because they forgot about what they call the 'usefulness' of the hybrids. I liked physical contact a lot and hybrids mostly needed it to feel complete and loved. Hybrids would match me perfectly in that way of thinking, but until today I always refused to get one. Why? Because people in my college paraded with hybrids like they were prices accessories: they could be a special type of birds or a special race of cat. Predator hybrids were the harder to control, but they were also popular. Hybrids turning against their owners were generally scent to something similar to concentration camp.

Yet some hybrids just couldn't be killed: because they were almost extinct for example or because they were too strong to kill. That was the reason why stray existed and sometimes went feral on humans. I was scared of such possibilities even if I didn't want to include all hybrids in this scenario. I sighed as I was on my wheeling chair and Lee Min Ho one of my parents bodyguard was locking the car. He had been there since I was a child and my parents chose him to accompany me choose my bodyguards. Usually, I didn't get a say in it, but this time I told my parents that I would chose or I would get none.

I was in my wheeling chair against my will, because I got myself checked up at the hospital yesterday and the doctor scolded me because I went on a hike by myself behind my parents back and my body wasn't totally agreeing with it either. I had pushed my limits and although it felt amazing, it was also extremely dangerous health-wise. Thus, I had barely the right to walk and Min Ho watched me with a hawk eye making sure I respected everything. He was a stern person and extremely skilled in fighting more so than some hybrids even though he was human. He came towards me and began pushing the wheeling chair forward.

"I'm not sure about this." I said as we stepped in front of the center

"Your parents clicked right away with Kim Bum and Changwon, we can also go to other centers if necessary. This center is famous for training the best hybrids." He said blankly

A Labrador hybrid stepped forward. He was dressed with military pants and had a smile on his face. His name was Jackson as shown on his little name plate. He crouched down in front of me.
