N: God my mind isn't working.
(He said quietly as we were completing a test)
A little help here?

Nathan: Give me a minute.
(Me and N always have sat together, I would help him if he got stuck on something and he would help me to calm down if I got frustrated. Aiden used to be next to me as well.
But now.. He..
Yep you guessed it, Leah.
Maybe I was just jealous. I mean..
Leah is a beautiful black woman with waist length curly hair and eyes that can pierce through you, combined with her strong build it gave her a very intimidating presence.
So I was definitely a little sad or you can call it jealousy, that Aiden was always with her nowadays.)

Nathan: Let me see.. (I glanced at the question)
Oh you know it.. Remember?When we were talking about smoothies..? Mixer?

N: Oh! Thank you! (He quickly wrote down the answer)
My knight.
(I chuckled, N has always been better at remembering conversation than texts. Which is a skill of its own)

(Soon the professor announced that the test was over, Me and N with other students left the auditorium after submitting our papers. Outside we sat beneath a tree to relax)

N: God it was stressful. Can't wait for this to be over.
(I smiled)

Nathan: Honestly, same.

N: Says the topper?
(As I was about to respond, someone came up to us)

Leah: Long time no see Nathan.
(She gave me a smile which I could tell was fake)

Nathan: Hi.

Leah: Hi to you as well Endrik.

N: Hey. (He responded nonchalantly, Leah and N never really got along well.
Let's just say Liah says some homophobic things but passes them off as jokes, but mostly to N only. It's like he got on her nerves)

Leah: Got a boyfriend now?

N: Not really.

Leah: I guessed so, because- (Before she could say anything that could hurt N's feelings, I changed the topic)

Nathan: Where's Aiden?

Leah: -He went to the bathroom.

Nathan: So let me ask, why are you here?
I mean you clearly don't like us, We are not on your "level".. which you made clear during the prom, not wanting to share a car with us.
(She laughs it off like I've said a joke)

Leah: Oh come on, I just wanted a better car.
(I internally rolled my eyes as Aiden came back)

Aiden: Hey! How did the test go?

N: Went okay I guess.
(Aiden felt the tension in the air)

Aiden: So... Uhm what you guys are talking about?

Nathan: Nothing in particular.

Leah: Ugh I feel so tired, Babe get me a coffee please?

Aiden: Now?

Leah: Yes, Is that- (Her phone rings and she instantly picks it up)
Hey Jen! Yeah I'll be there ASAP.
I know! I'm coming, don't worry.
(She hangs up)

Aiden: Where are you going?

Leah: Gotta plan Jen's birthday! Did you forget?
Anyways I better go. I'll get the coffee on the way.
(She kissed Aiden on the cheek and leaves in a hurry, N released a big sigh)

N: She exhausts me, how do you even deal with her?

Aiden: She's... not that bad, you guys blow it out of proportion.
(I and N shared a look)
