Chapter 30: New Beginnings.

(The gym auditorium lights turning on broke Nathan's slumber.

He sat up, feeling fatigued from the uncomfortable sleep.
The back of his head was aching a little from resting his head on his backpack the whole night.

He looked around with his tired eyes, Aiden was still sleeping next to him, so was N who was passed out on one of the chairs.

The rest of the students who lived in the same building were there too, some asleep, some awake, some mingling with each other and some missing, maybe getting fresh Nathan assumed.

He regained his composure, yesterday's foggy memories coming back to him..
After the incident they were given a choice to spend the night at the auditorium, or live in a hotel.
Is it even surprising that a bunch of jobless students, who are probably in debt, chose to spend the night here? Students don't have the money to waste on a hotel. He thought to himself.

Aiden still tried to take them to one, but Nathan and N insisted that it was a waste of money.

"Hmm "Just a night can't be that bad" huh? I take it back, it is pretty bad."

He took another look at N.
A little worried since N didn't speak much last night, He is probably still upset, Nathan thought.
And he can't really blame N.

Feeling a little alone he woke Aiden up with some gentle shoves..)

Aiden: Oh- (His eyes blinked continuously in a short span of time, adjusting to the light)

Good morning..
(He spoke softly and sat up. Eyes squinting as he tried to block the lights from overwhelming him)

Nathan: Good Morning..
Did you grab our toothbrushes on the way out?

(A realization hit Aiden)

Aiden: No...

Nathan: It's okay, I'll use my finger.

Aiden: You can use something else as well.
(He spoke bluntly, Teasing him. His tone had that morning huskiness, By which Nathan couldn't help but feel a little warm.
Brushing it off, Nathan chuckled.)

Nathan: Shut up!-
It's like seven in the morning.
(They both shared a laugh.
Nathan took another look at N which Aiden noticed.)

Aiden: Hey, don't worry about him..
You know he can get a bit, intense.
I'll make sure he apologizes..
(Nathan's eyes darted down)

You.. you're not serious about what you said last night right..?
Make this decision after you think about it.
Don't feel like you owe anyone anything..
(Nathan sat there silently for a few seconds)

Nathan: I am.. gonna get fresh.
(Aiden gave him a tight smile as he got up and walked towards the bathrooms..
Worried that this tension might do something it's not supposed to do.)

(After a while all the students sat in a line. Waiting for the principal who's about to give a speech addressing everything that happened last night.
N yawned once again, probably because of lack of sleep. Aiden's eyes looked droopy as well. Nathan was the only one who looked a little alive.
Used to doing all nighters, the lack of sleep wasn't the problem for him.. N's cold demeanor towards him was..

He looked at him one more time, with the intention of saying something. But before he could get his words out, a high pitched screech stung their ears..
Nathan looked at the stage to see the principal ready to talk.)
