Chapter 13: Where The Night Leads Us (Camping Trip - Part III.)

Titli: I'm.. really sleepy.
(She announced with a yawn.
After dinner we were sitting around and chatting)

N: I'm as well.
(Zoe rolled her eyes at this statement)

Zoe: Right, since you worked SO much..
(Her words were dripping with sarcasm)

N: I know. (He said with a smirk)

Saquiyah: Honestly, I'm down to calling it a night..
(She looked at her phone)
It's 10:51..

(I was pretty tired as well so I agreed..
We decided on who would sleep with who..
Zoe and Titli will be sleeping together,
Saquiyah and N will be in one tent and I and Aiden will share a tent.
With that Titli, Saquiyah and N headed into their respective tents, I was heading into mine as well, but I stopped when I noticed Aiden wasn't coming)

Nathan: Are you not coming?
(Aiden who was chatting with Zoe, Answered me immediately)

Aiden: No, not sleepy yet.

Nathan: What about you Zoe?

Zoe: I'm not either, so I guess I'll hang around..

Nathan: Okay.. um, goodnight.
(I go into my tent and lay down..
My head was filled with enough jealousy that I was able to ignore the uncomfortable floor beneath me.. There was only a sleeping bag and a blanket between me and the rocky terrain.
With a sigh I rolled over..
"Does Aiden actually like Zoe.?"
I shake the thought away and close my eyes..
Slowly drifting to sleep..)

(Well I didn't..
I tried my damn hardest to sleep, but just couldn't..
I twisted, I turned, I tried to dream but it was all useless.
Finally, completely annoyed, I opened my eyes and stared at the ceiling of the tent..
I look to my side to see it empty.
"Damn, Aiden is still talking to Zoe?"
"What time is it?"
With that question I unlocked my phone to see it was 02:09 AM.
"I was twisting around for more than three hours and still couldn't sleep huh?"
With an exasperated groan I sat up..
"I should take a walk.. maybe the cold air will help with sleep"
I thought to myself and got out of the tent to see no one around the slowly burning fire..
"Did they go somewhere else?
It's not that safe at night"
Confused, I took a look around and saw Zoe's shoes outside her rent.
"That means.. Zoe's sleeping..
Then where did Aiden go?"
With my hands around myself I walked up to the lake..
The cold air sent shivers up my spine but I was enjoying it..
I aimlessly started walking around it. Just a few steps to the left there was a big rock standing against the moonlight.
I didn't think of it much but as soon as I walked past it, I saw a figure next to it)

"OH MY-"
(Aiden looked at me with panic.
He was sitting on the ground with his back against the rock.
I stopped my horrified scream)

Nathan: Sweet Jesus Sora, You scared the shit out of me.
(He chuckled and patted the ground next to him)
I wondered where you were.
(I said as I settled next to him)

Aiden: Can't sleep as well?

Nathan: Not really, No. How long have you been sitting here alone?

Aiden: Only more than an hour probably.
(I noticed an empty beer bottle next to him and another in his hands)

Nathan: Nuh-uh (I took it out of his hands)
You shouldn't drink this much, Don't wanna repeat what happened last time.
(He laughed in shame)

Aiden: You should drink it.

Nathan: What? No.

Aiden: It might help you with sleep.
(Looking unsurely at him, I took a big chug out of it.
He was looking at me.. very.. intently.
Like he wanted to see through me.)
