Chapter 21

Sumiko POV

It's the third day which means I can join again. Shinobu-san and Mitsuri-san told me not to but I wanted to. I hope they don't know about what happened yesterday.

We are now currently walking in the woods with some of the Hashira's. Shinazugawa-san, Himejima-san, Uzui-san and his wives are not coming. I have a feeling on what's going to happen but I rather not assume.

"I can hear water. What does that mean Sumiko-chan?!" Zenitsu whisper yelled at me. That means we are going to be pushed off a cliff where the waterfall is. I knew it.

"We're here." Tomioka-san said as we stopped by the cliff near a waterfall.

"Ara ara~ Tomioka-san. What are we doing here?" Shinobu-san said.

"It means they are going to stay under the waterfall and be one with the waters." Tomioka-san said. I mentally face palm on how exactly the same they are.

"How is that going to help the them?" Muichiro-kun asked which Iguro-san agreed. I took a peek below and saw something.

"Help them tense their muscles up." Tomioka-san answered.

"Uhm.. Tomioka-san?" I called him but I was too late. He pushed Kanao off the cliff. I quickly jumped after her and hugged her.

"Sumiko-chan?"

"There's a rock underneath!" I shouted at her and took the impact of the water shielding Kanao.

Mitsuri POV

As Tomioka-san pushed Kanao-chan off Sumiko-chan quickly jumped after her.

"Sumiko!" Iguro-san and Muichiro-kun shouted at the same time before looking below the cliff. Iguro-san quickly got up and started running down the hill. We quickly followed him as he speed up."What's wrong Iguro-san?" Shinobu-chan asked while running.

"There is a rock! A rock that Kanao and Sumiko might hit! Sumiko was about to give a warning but came too late." Iguro-san replied. Our eyes widen and quickly run down the hill. We saw Kanao-chan and Sumiko-chan at the side of the river coughing. Some of the water are also red.

"Are you guys fine?" Shinobu-chan asked. Sumiko-chan looked at Shinobu-chan with rage in her eyes.

"Fine? Fine?!" she shouted that startle us.

"Do you think we look fine after that? Kanao might with that rock and die if I didn't notice. Just because she is your tsugoko you think everything will be fine. And you!" Sumiko-chan shouted at Shinobu-chan before pointing at Tomioka-san. Her head is also bleeding and some of her cuts reopen.

"What did I tell you if you injured one of my friends? I would duel you right? But I won't. 'They' wouldn't like it." Sumiko-chan said before walking closer to Tomioka-san and whispered something that widen his eyes. Sumiko-chan then dragged Kanao with her leaving us alone near the river.

"We messed up didn't we?" Shinobu-chan asked pain and sadness visible in her voice.

Giyuu POV

"What did I tell you if you injured one of my friends? I would duel you right? But I won't. 'They' wouldn't like it." Sumiko said before walking towards me and whispered something.

"Sabito, Makomo and Tsutako nee-chan wouldn't like it." she whispered to me that made my eyes widen in shock. How did she know? They died before she could even meet them. How is that possible? I didn't even noticed them leaving if Iguro didn't call me.

"Giyuu, let's go." he said. I quickly followed them back to the mansion. When we arrived Kocho's medical apprentice came outside looking worried.
