Chapter 25

Sumiko POV

So...Shinobu-san said that we should stay here a little longer till the weather is nice. Iguro-san and Giyuu-san was originally against that but got threaten by Shinobu-san so they eventually said yes.

I am currently looking for Otou-san's clothes when he's doing the Hinokami Kagura dance when someone called my name.

"Sumiko-chan." Shinobu-san called. I quickly turn my attention to her when I smell a worry scent from her.

"Yes Shinobu-san?" I asked her.

"W-Well you said to look after Nezuko but she suddenly disappeared! Iguro-kun and Tomioka-san are also looking for her." she said. My eyes widen from shock and fear.

"C-Can I borrow your katana Shinoub-san?" I asked her. She gave me her katana as I run outside looking for Nezuko.

'Think! Where does she always go before? She won't go that far... The river?'

I quickly went to the river and saw her. I saw Nezuko playing on the water. I quickly went to her and hugged her carefully not to fall the icy cold water.

"Nee-chan?" she said.

"Don't run off like that! We are so worried." I told her. She looked at me sadly before apologizing.

"Let's go." I told her smiling gently. While walking back I didn't noticed something. I accidentally step on it that made my right foot sprained.

"Nee-chan! Are you okay?" she asked me and help me got up.

"I'm fine. Just hurt my right foot." I told her before standing up.

"Want me to carry you?" she asked me but I shook my head before smiling.

"No no. It's fine. Let's head back." I told her. While walking the pain is just increasing but I will endure it for now. I can't really do much since I do not have my own katana.

"We're back." I greeted them. They all turned their attention to us and Shinobu-san quickly hugged us.

"Where did you find her?" Iguro-san asked.

"The river." I told them. I gave Shinobu-san katana back to her before entering the house and search for the clothes.

I finally found them!! They're just so well hidden but I remember were Oka-san put it.

"Sumiko-chan! We are going to the river where you found Nezuko-chan. Do you want to come?" Shinobu-san asked. I nodded at her before putting down the clothes and staff.

"Where is this river?" Iguro-san asked. We quickly walked towards the path where the river is.

"Here! This is also where me and my family get the water from." I told them. Nezuko quickly went to the spot where she is earlier. (A/N: The one in the Mugen Train movie. When Tanjiro is getting some water in the river or lake or whatever you call that, then he suddenly fell when the other Tanjiro grabbed him. That's where Sumiko found Nezuko.  But instead of walking into the wooden short bridge, they're far away from there. I just can't find a picture of it...)

"This is a clean river." Giyuu-san said looking at the river. Iguro-san walk closer to me before whispering.

"What am I going to do next?" he asked me. I thought for a moment before speaking.

"While I'm going to do the ritual, you keep her warm. Talk to her is she got bored." I told her.

"Huh?! How am I suppose to keep her warm?" he asked me rudely but I can see he is flustered and embarrassed by his scent.
