Chapter 5

Sumiko POV

I opened my eyes when I felt something heavy on my waist. I looked at my waist and saw an arm wrapped around it protectively. Mix-matched haori... Tomioka-san?! It's morning already but he's still asleep? We still have a mission to do.

"Tomioka-san." I softly called him trying to remove his arms on my waist but he justhugged me tighter.

"Tomioka-san! We still need to report what happened to Oyakata-sama!" I said using all my force to break the hug. Tomioka-san quickly got up removing his arms from me.

"I'm sorry Sumiko. I didn't know I was hugging you." Tomioka-san said bluntly.

"I-It's fine! I'll just change real quick." I told him slightly blushing. He nodded before going to the separate room. I quickly change to my uniform not removing the bandage on my body.

"I didn't know it was bleeding." I said to myself. I picked up the box with Nezuko in it and my katana right beside it before going out not forgetting Tomioka-san's haori.

"Let's go Tomioka-san, Ohayo!" I told him before giving back his haori which he obviously accepted. We walked back to the HQ in complete awkward silence. I kept on remembering the feeling of his arm wrapped around my waist. Every time I remember that very exact moment my face is heating up.

"Sumiko?" I heard Tomioka-san called me.

"H-Hai?" I said.

"You're spacing out. We're almost there." he said before speeding up. I also decided to speed up but not the much. My back still hurts but I can manage. We arrived at the HQ at noon. I was about to go inside with Tomioka-san when he told me not to.

"You need to rest Sumiko. As far as I remember you have broken ribs. I'll be the one who's going to report this to Oyakata-sama." he said before going inside. I was about to protest but it's too late. I walked towards the Butterfly Mansion only for me to be scolded at.

"SUMIKOOO-CHANNNNNNN!!!" someone yelled my name. Zenitsu and Inosuke came running towards me. Zenitsu suddenly hugged me making me wince in pain.

"Eh Sumiko-chan?" he said only to be cut off when Inosuke head butted my back but I decided not to make any noise.

"Hello! I'm sorry I got injured so we need to stay in one of the wisteria houses near our destination." I said patting both of their heads.

"I-IT'S FINE!! W-WE CAN STILL FIGHT RIGHT!?" Zenitsu said before hugging me.

"WHAT DO YOU THIK YOU'RE DOING MONITSU?!" Inosuke shouted before pulling Zenitsu away from me.

"Eh?! WHAT DO YOU MEAN?! I'M JUST HUGGING HER!!" Zenitsu yelled back. I just watched them when I felt someone stand beside me.

"Ara Ara~ Don't you think it's time for them to stop?" Shinobu-san said.

"Not yet. It's just the start but when it comes to physical I'll stop them." I told her.

"You three should rest for tomorrow. I heard you'll have a mission all together." she told me. I nodded while a smile plastered in me face.

"Oh! I would like a word with you later if you don't mind." she continued.

"Sure!" I answered her. We bid our goodbye and decided to stop their fight.

"Zenitsu, Inosuke. We need to rest early. Shinobu-san said we three have a mission together." I told them. They turned their attention to me then suddenly run towards our room.

"GOOD NIGHT!!" they shouted that made me laugh. I walk towards Nezuko's room and placed her to bed.

"Make sure to get a lot of rest." I told her before kissing her forehead then leave the room. I quickly made my way to Shinobu-san's room. I wonder what we're going to talk about.
