Chapter 34

Sumiko POV

It's been a few weeks after that happened. I was even forbid to meet with the Wind Hashira after a fight. Not my he insulted his own brother. I'm just trying to help.

I woke up when I felt Giyuu hug me tighter from behind while holding my hand. He buried his face on my shoulder sending chills ran down my spine because of his breathe.

"Good morning. Did I woke you up?" he asked me. I looked back at him before smiling.

"Good morning too, and no. You didn't woke me up." I told him. He smiled at me before sitting up.

"What do you want to eat?" he ask me. I told him that anything is fine. He nodded his head before standing up. I also stood up and took a shower before changing into my uniform. I went to the kitchen and found Giyuu cooking some breakfast.

"Want me to help?" I ask him. He nodded his head as answer that made me smile.

"I'll take care of this. You take a shower." I said continuing his work. I was busy preparing for breakfast when I heard a knock. I quickly went to the door for me to see Uzui-san's wives.

"Hinatsuru-san, Makio-san, Suma-san!" I said surprised to see them here.

"Hey Sumi-chan!" Suma-san greeted before hugging me. Makio-san gave some onigiri.

"Hey Sumiko-chan. We're just here to look after you since there will be a Hashira meeting later." Hinatsuru-san said while Makio-san tried so separate Suma-san from me. 

Why does this seems familiar to me...

"Sumi?" Giyuu called me. We all turned our heads to him making him flinch.

"Tomioka-sama. We're just here to look after Sumiko-chan while you're gone for the Hashira meeting later." Hinatsuru-san said politely. Giyuu nodded his head before going into the kitchen.

"Do you want to come with us? We're just about to eat breakfast." I told them letting them in. They just shook their heads as they waited patiently on the living room.

"Where are they?" Giyuu asked me as I place down the onigiri.

"They declined my invite and sat patiently on the living room." I told him. He nodded his head before we started eating.

Hinatsuru POV

The three of us are 'trying' to be quiet and 'observe' Tomioka-sama and Sumiko-chan. Since we are Tengen-sama's wives, we are quite skilled with hiding our presence but I'm not sure since Sumiko-chan have an incredible sense of smell.

"Shut up!" Makio shouted to Suma. They kept on arguing when I noticed Sumiko-chan going to look this way. I quickly grab the two of them putting my hands on their mouth for them not to make a sound.

"Something wrong Sumi?" Tomioka-sama ask Sumiko-chan.

"Nothing. Makio-san and Suma-san might be fighting again. After all, they're like Zenitsu and Inosuke." Sumiko-chan replied earning a giggle from Tomioka-sama.

"Tomioka-sama's really happy when she's with Sumiko-chan." Suma said before looking at them again. We all stiffen when Tomioka-sama suddenly glance at our way before smirking.

"He knows..." Makio said stunned on what just happened.

"Hashira's are really no joke." I said as we got back from our seats. Not long after Tomioka-sama was rushing to the door with his katana and Sumiko-chan behind him with a knife on her hand.

"Get back here you!" Sumiko-chan shouted before throwing the knife at Tomioka-sama. Luckily he dodge it in time but instead of being surprised and scared, he smirked.
