"Okay." Acrina whispered the words.
"You mean yes?"
"Yes. I'll be your girlfriend." Acrina said assuringly.
"Oh thank you so much. I love you." Marcelo said and hugged her.
"I love you too Marcelo." Acrina replied.
"Really. You love me?" Marcelo asked suprised and disengaged from the hug.
"I think I had for some time but didn't notice it. But after today, I'm really sure that I love you." Acrina said.
"I promise you that after we graduate in two months from now and we get into the university, I'll continue to love you and one day, I'll go to your parents and ask for your hand." Marcelo said with all seriousness.
"You mean it?" Acrina asked in disbelief. She had never really taken a relationship so far to the extent of thinking about marriage.
"I mean it." Marcelo said and kissed her knuckles.
"It's getting late. Let's go home." Acrina suggested.
"Hmm. I'll go with you first. I want to make sure you get home safely." Marcelo said and they both left. On their way they took a taxi that first dropped Acrina at her house.
"Good night sunlight." Marcelo wished her.
"Are you going to call me that from now onwards?" Acrina asked smiling.
"Yes. Don't you like it?" Marcelo asked raising a brow.
"I do. I think if I'm your sunlight then you're my sunshine." Acrina said and winked at him before walking into her house.
Marcelo smiled to himself rejoicing in his heart.
