Marcelo angrily stomped towards them and punched Elliot across his face.
"How dare you!" Elliot said and hit him. The two of them started fighting and some boys tried to separate them before a teacher came in.
"What is going on here?" Mr Edwin asked annoyed.
"Sir this good for nothing hit me across the face for no reason at all and so I also hit him out of defense." Elliot lied.
"Sir he's lying to you. He came here and started saying nonsense to me. He even grabbed my wrist and refused to let go. That's where Marcelo comes into the story. He was simply defending me." Acrina explained.
"Elliot and Marcelo. You two are very promising students and I really do not appreciate fighting. All the same you'll both have to be punished. To the principal's office now." Mr Edwin ordered. And both boys left.
"Show is over. All of you scram." Mr Edwin said and everyone left including Acrina and her friends.
*Principal's office*
"In as much as I would have loved to punish both of you, Marcelo you're a new student still learning the rules and Elliot this is the first time you've been brought to my office so you both make peace and leave my office." The principal said.
"I'm sorry for hitting you." Marcelo said.
"Same." Elliot said and they both left.
*In the classroom*
"They're back!" The class exclaimed and majority of them ran to meet Marcelo while minority went to Elliot.
"What happened?"
"Were you punished?"
"Are you suspended?"
"What did the principal say?" Came the endless questions from the students.
"No. We weren't punished or suspended. Just asked to make peace and leave." Marcelo said while Elliot kept his silence and went to his seat.
"That simple?" Acrina asked Marcelo when everyone had gone to their desks.
"Yeah. Are you okay?" Marcelo asked.
"I should be asking you that. See how Elliot bruised your lips." Acrina said with genuine concern while touching his lips. "Are you in pain?" She asked.
"Hearing the concern in your voice takes all the pain away." Marcelo said.
"Oh stop it." Acrina said. Just then a teacher walked in and Acrina went to her seat.
