The Goodbye in the Island of Gweal

Hapon na nang makadaong kami sa pier ng isla ng Gweal. Hindi ko akalaing ito na ang huling pagkakataon na kasama ko ang pirata ng Veronica.

The island is lively. There are lots of fishing boats and ships on the port, big fishes are hanging on the post and still alive. Everyone looks busy and happy of what they've got.

"Are you ready?" Xen who's standing beside me, asked.

I looked at her and smiled.

"No. I am not ready, Xen. Even though I expected this, I still can't accept that I'll be alone now." I answered.

"We all need to choose the way that we need to walk. And yours is here, you should find your way home, Alice. You can't be with us forever, it is dangerous for a precious woman like you." she replied.

"I'm sure you'll be okay here, Alice. You are brave." Nion interrupted.

"Thank you, Nion. I wish for a good journey ahead of you. It's just sad that I am leaving now."

Kinuha ko na ang aking mga gamit at maging ang kay Lica. Nagamit ko na rin ang mga gamit niya, mas mabuting iuwi ko ito dahil siguradong iiyak iyon. Nami-miss ko na rin siya, kaya gagawa ako ng paraan para makauwi.

"Let's go." Lexus said.

Sabay kaming lahat na bumaba ng Veronica. Parang ayaw humakbang ng mga paa ko paibaba ng hagdan ngunit pinilit ko dahil kailangan.

Papalubog na ang araw at napakaganda ng paligid. And kahel na sinag ng araw ay napakagandang tignan sa tubig ng karagatan.

Nang tuluyang makababa na kami ng barko, nilingon ko ito ulit at nasilayan ang kabuuang anyo nito. I am so glad that even in a short time, I was able to ride in this ship and met it's owner and crews.

"Goodluck, Alice." Artius gave me a nod and a small smile.

"Thank you." iyon na lamang ang nasabi ko dahil nagbabadya nang tumulo ang aking mga luha.

"Here,"

Napatingin ako sa aking gilid at nakita si Lexus na may iniaabot sa akin.

I accepted it and was surprised to see what's inside of the pouch. It was gold coins!

"Life in Gweal is hard, the food and inn are expensive. Use that for you to survive." he said.

"P-pero hindi naman kailangan, mas kailangan ninyo ito keysa sa akin. Tsaka marami na kayong naitulong sa'kin, especially you. You gave me half of your meals, you saved my life twice, you gave me a place in your ship, your crews were all amazing people. All of those are more than enough, Lexus."

"You don't need to enumerate those things. Be careful here and I hope that we'll see each other again, Alice."

"I hope too, Lexus."
