The Destination

Lexus agreed on what I asked. He promised to teach me how to fight and I was behind happy hearing it from him. I thought he'll decline but I know he understands me.

I don't want to be their burden anymore. I should learn how to protect myself and the people who cared for me.

Crying isn't the solution for everything. It can do nothing. And I can't rely on my smokes forever, it is a curse. Not a gift. It takes life.

"My Queen,"

Napalingon ako sa pintuan nang pumasok si Lexus. Umaga na at ang mga kasama nami'y tulog pa rin.

Masyado silang nalasing, ginabi kami sa kakalaro at naka-ubos kami ng dalawang barrel ng alak.

Nakalimang baso ako at unang beses ko pa lamang uminom pero hindi ako natamaan. Ni hindi ko nga naramdaman ang pagkalasing. Hindi kagaya kay Lexus na dalawang baso pa lang ang naiinom ay natumba na.

Halos hindi ako magkamayaw sa kakatawa kagabi habang inaakay siya pabalik sa aming kwarto. Halos hindi na kasi siya makatayo.

"Lexus, can you please tell me everything?" tanong ko nang pumasok siya.

Nakaupo ako sa kama habang hawak-hawak ang amulet. Mabuti na lang at itinago niya ito noong nakuha ako ni Fiodor.

And speaking of that man, naekwento ni Xen na nakatakas daw ito noong naglaban sa barko niya.

I know he is still a threat.

Umupo si Lexus sa sahig sa aking harapan. Natigilan siya sa aking tanong ngunit kalauna'y napatango rin.

I thought he'll still keep everything from me. But I am glad that he will tell me the things that I need to know.

"I'm sorry for keeping this to you. Ayaw ko lang na mag-alala ka." aniya.

"I understand. But I am now ready, Lexus. After all, we're already here. We had faced a lot of challenges that's why I am choosing to be strong. That is why I want your help to teach me how to fight." sabi ko.

He nodded. "So, saan mo gustong simulan ko?"

"Sa kung bakit sa tingin mo ako si Veronica. Anong kinalaman ng sumpa ko sa'yo?" tugon ko.

I need to know everything. Para hindi na lang puro panghuhula ang iisipin ko sa mga mangyayari.

"It happened before, when we were born in this world. My mother said that we are loved by the goddesses. They gave us gifts as the child of the most handsome humans in the world—your father and mine."

"The goddesses of light and darkness gave us an eternal life. That whenever we die, we will be born again as the same person. Then we met at Mount Gloreva. I fell in love with you." pagkekwento niya habang ang mga mata'y namumungay.

Sa sinabi niya'y napanganga ako. What the heck?! Totoo ba ang sinasabi niya?

"B-but I don't remember you. Ang pagkakaalam ko ay isa akong normal na anak ng lalaking nagtatrabaho sa pagawaan ng barko sa Cartes." hindi makapaniwalang sambit ko.

"That's because you already forgot everything. You might be the same person but your memories are being erased." sagot niya.

"Then what happened to me? Bakit ako nakalimot?" tanong ko.
