The Intend to Escape

Nagising ako sa mahihinang haplos sa aking pisngi. As I opened my eyes, the beautiful face of Lexus welcomed me. His red hair shine when the rays of the sun touched it.

"Good morning, my Queen." he greeted with a smile.

I wandered my eyes around the room. It wasn't moving anymore and this room was different from Lexus'.

"Where are we?" I asked.

"We're in the Island of Euperra, my love. Dinala kita dito sa bahay pagamutan para mas mapadali ang iyong paggaling. If you'll stay in the ship, your wound won't heal fastly especially that we don't have enough medicine there." mahabang sagot niya.

I nodded. Mukhang maayos na nga ang aking sugat at hindi na sumasakit.

"Ilang oras akong nakatulog?" tanong ko ulit.

"You've been sleeping for two days, my Queen."

Nanlaki ang mata ko. Damn, that long?

"It's okay, my love. I've been guarding you for the whole time, so you don't need to worry. The crews were on the nearest inn, resting. We'll go there if you're totally healed."

I can't help but to feel guilty. All this time, Lexus was the one who cares for me the most. He put me first than anyone else. And I am so guilty of saying those painful words to him.

But I also have my rights. He assumed that I am Veronica and decided to bring me to his home which was I didn't agreed.

Maybe all I can do now is to thank him for taking care of me. He save my life for the third times, and he didn't asked for anything.

"Lexus, thank you." I said whole heartedly.

I saw how he was taken a back by my words. But his eyes were full of happiness and it was so genuine to see.

Hindi ako handa nang bigla niya na lamang akong hinalikan sa noo. Napanganga ako at hindi kaagad nakagalaw.

"You are my life, Alice Veronica. I'll go insane if I lose you again. I promise to do everything for you, my love. Everything." he murmured.

"But what if I am not really her, Lexus?  That would disappoint you, right? What if I am not the Veronica you're searching for a hundred year?" tanong ko habang tinititigan ang gwapo niyang mukha.

I want to know if what will you do when you found out that I am not that woman you love, Lexus. Will you abandon me for not being her?

"My heart does not commit even a single mistake, Alice. It recognized you even if your face will change. It will always be you." sagot niya.

My heart suddenly beats faster than usual. Like it was so happy of what Lexus' said. There was this strange feeling that I can only feel towards him and no one else.
