Zavanya's POV

I'm still wondering, where the heck he got the bruises? Ang dami nyang sugat since he left last night. How come he got it from? Is he hiding something from me? I thought.

*Home*

"Baby girl? Food is ready. Come on, let's eat."- he called after he knocked.

"Yeah. I'll be there. Just a minute."-I said. Do his friends know about it or...maybe...they're with him? But...should I...should I ask them? Hmm...think Zavanya...you have to figure it out by yourself without him knowing your plan...I thought. I heard him knock again. I stood up and open the door. I saw him standing in front of me looking curious about what I was doing lately.

"Baby? What are you doing? The foods I prepared downstairs might be cold right now."-he said. Umiling naman ako tsaka ngumiti ng bahagya.

"Nah. Let's go. Gutom na rin ako eh."-sabi ko.

While we're in the middle of eating our dinner, he suddenly hissed and groaned. What's happening to him? I worriedly thought. I could see in his expression that he's in pain right now.

Stefan's POV

As we're eating, biglang kumirot ang malalim na sugat sa tagiliran ko na may benda. She suddenly stare at me asking what's happening.

"Stefan? What's wrong?"-she suddenly asked. Umiling naman ako kaagad hiding the pain I felt.

"No. I'm fine, baby girl. I'll go upstairs for a minute. I'll be back."-I said as I ran quickly upstairs. I headed to the comfort room and locked the door.

Dahan-dahan kong tinaggal ang benda na nakatakip sa sugat ko. I hissed in pain because its still bleeding. Kaagad kong nilagyan ng betadine iyon tsaka pinalitan ng bagong benda. I washed my hands and also tinapon ko yung benda para di nya makita.

"Stefan? Are you okay?"-nagulat ako sa biglang pagsalita ni Zavie sa labas ng pintuan kaya nagmamadali akong nagbihis. I opened the door as she's looking at me from my head to toe.

"Have you finished your food, baby?"-I asked. Umiling sya.

"No. I'm worried about you. Kaya sinundan kita dito. Okay ka na ba?"-I smiled knowing that she's worried about me.

"Yes, baby girl. I'm fine. You should just finish your dinner there."-I said. that made her pout.

"I just want to check what's wrong with you. May masakit pa ba sayo?"-she said but then I pulled her in a hug. 

The pain suddenly faded away for just a time...but does she deserve someone like me? The man that may put her life in the greatest danger she didn't even encounter before...S-Should I...stay away from her to make her safe without me? But I couldn't imagine my life without her...I can't let her die because of me...I could give up anything just to be with her...I sadly thought.

"I feel much better now that you're here with me. Just, please? Whatever happens, stay by my side. D-Don't...just don't leave me? I-I'm begging you, baby girl. Promise me?"-my voice cracked as I said those words. And I could feel the tears fall from my eyes. She cupped my face and wiped away my tears. I closed my eyes to feel her smooth and soft palm that made my heartfelt better for a bit.
