𝐏𝐀𝐑𝐓 𝐅𝐈𝐕𝐄: 𝐊𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐦𝐞

The morning came fast, and Dad had insisted that I stayed with Kate, but respectfully to Kate, there was no way I was staying in the appartment when Cooper, Lila and Nate were going home.

"Okay, are we all here?" I asked, suddenly doing a head check.

"Where's Cooper?" Lila asked, looking around for a second.

"Cooper, off your phone." Dad suddenly said, spotting the boy before either of us could. He rushed down first, handing the guy at the car the last few suitcases, thanking him. "This is a car to the airport. Once you get to the airport, Cooper's in charge." He explained.

"No donuts till I get back." I tell Cooper.

"What? Why's he in charge?" Lila asked us. "He's an idiot."

"You and me both." I mutter.

"I may be an idiot, but I have seniority." I hear Cooper say from behind.

"Ay, watch it." I tell him, giving him a little glare before a smile.

"When you land, your mom is gonna be waiting there, okay?" Clint continued on.

"Is this about the ninja?" Cooper asks.

I scoffed. "No, it's not about the ninja." It's everything to do with the ninja.

"Most importantly, remember these words- Don't lose Nate, okay?" Clint tells my two siblings.

"Where's Nate?" Cooper suddenly asks, causing us to start looking around. Of course, I found the crazy child first. We just have that kind of connection, you know? I ran over to him, grabbing him up from the floor, messing around with him as I brought him to the car.

"Get in the car please." I heard Clint tell my brother and sister, but my sister was more reluctant than the older brother. I threw the boy in the car, causing him to laugh and give me another hug as I ruffled his hair before walking away to see Lila's unimpressed face.

"If looks could kill..." I murmured as Dad said his goodbyes to Nate, with the boy doing sign language to Clint. When he turned back to look at Lila, it was obvious she wasn't having our BS.

"Dad has a cut on his forehead, and you're suspiciously wearing gloves and a long sleeved top." She begins.

"It's cold outside." I tell her, trying to divert the idea that I never wearing long sleeved tops unless I have to.

"What's going on?" She asks the two of us. "Should we be worried?"

"No, no. It's nothing." Dad dismissed, knowing fully well I cannot lie to my sister for more than a minute. "Me and your sister have got this. It's no big deal, okay? Come on-" He tried to usher her towards the car and nearly got her in before she sighed, turning to us again.

"I really thought you were gonna be home for Christmas." She says.

"We'll be home Christmas." I tell her almost immediately. She looked at Dad of who was only agreeing, almost stumbling on his words as he did so.

"Promise me?" She says.

"Yeah, promise." Dad says, hugging my sister before she turned to me.

"You know, the last time I broke my promise, that was so you didn't know Natasha had bought you that gift at your Birthday." I smirked as I pulled the smaller girl into a hug. "We'll be back for Christmas." I promise her. "I swear." She pulled away to look at me one more time. "Also, we said Coop's in charge. He really isn't, it's definitely you." I tell Lila, making her laugh a little.
