𝐏𝐀𝐑𝐓 𝐒𝐈𝐗𝐓𝐄𝐄𝐍: 𝐢'𝐦 𝐡𝐨𝐭, 𝐦𝐨𝐦

"Go home, Kate. It's over. Take Robyn back to the hotel to get cleaned up. She's getting the next flight home."

Every step I now took, due to the multiple elbows to the ribs, hurt like a bitch. And, even with the girl in purple trying to help me, it wasn't as if the pain was mysteriously going to go away. And even if the pain would go away, even if I hadn't nearly died three-or-so times, there was so much to explain, to do and to say.

Maya had disappeared, quickly. Too quickly, for my liking. And, Yelena, Natasha's sister, seemed to want something, while also trying to kill us. Perhaps, she just wants to see me, again? Or, maybe, she wants to show off her skills, but that was not the way for anyone to go about it. Black Widow, or not.

"Are you sure, you're okay?" Finally, after so much overthinking, Kate pulled me out of it all. "You've been silent the whole walk, but you're totally in pain-"

I softly smiled and looked up at her. "It's been a long night... Kate." I explained. "I'm... tired."

"You've also probably got a concussion, and bruises all over your body." She added as we walked up to the same, posh, and very expensive building. I had planned on doing what Clint said, going back to the hotel, but, then again, Kate is also stubborn. "Stay tonight," She tells me, hand on mine. "you're in no condition, and neither am I-"

"You have your mom." I say to her with a small smile.

"I was gonna say we're in no condition to stop all this, not now." She finished her sentence, causing me to smile properly.

"Okay." I said to her. "I'll stay. Then- we go to find Clint." She nodded, with a happy look on her face. The tension was still there between us as we walked into the penthouse reception, with Kate still holding me to help my walking.

As we got to the penthouse, I got a better look at the injuries on the side of her face, but according to her reaction, mine were apparently worse. I knew there was a cut down the side of my face, but now it felt as if it was more than a little cut. More of a mark on the side of my face I could rub off, a tattoo, even.

Leaning against the pillar, I held the side of my stomach in pain, and Kate seemed to be on high alert that I was still in pain, like I wasn't the same with her.

"You know-" Before we could even formally start a conversation, another entered.

"Kate..?" Eleanor seemed to come rushing in, and got a first glance at her daughter's head wound. The woman stared, not seeming to notice my existence, yet. "Oh my god- are you okay?"

Yes, she's fine. There's a fancy dress party down the street and-

"And, why are you wearing your archery suit?" The woman's questions continued before finally her eyes met with mine. Kate seemed to notice her mother's sudden disliking to me, along with the shift of tension in the room.

"I'm okay, Mom, but, Rob is hurt-" Before she could even finish her sentence, her mother was still worried, stepping forward.

"Has this got anything to do with Clint Barton?" No. That's why his daughter is here.

"Mom, no. Clint protected me. Protected us." Kate told her. "And, once Rob has recovered, you'll be glad to know that he has told me to come home and stay away." I kept quiet, and knew that even though Clint had said that, she may not be sticking to it for too long.
