𝐏𝐀𝐑𝐓 𝐓𝐖𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐘-𝐓𝐇𝐑𝐄𝐄: 𝐖𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐨𝐢𝐜 𝐛𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐬

"CLINT." Kate called for him on coms as I rolled over her back and kicked back another tracksuits. They were everywhere, and didn't seem as though they wanted to give up. She threw one towards me while kicking one to the stomach, and I threw a just as hard punch to the guy's face. "Where are you?" She asked, taking both of us to the side and out of the way.

"I'm uh- here." He tells us.

"And, where exactly is here?" I ask him, hands on hips as I looked around.

"In the tree." I furrowed my eyebrows.

"What tree?" Kate asks him, but it suddenly clicked in my head.

"THE TREE." The two of us glanced up and saw him dangling on the tree, holding on for deer life.

"How the actual fuck-" I begin, not knowing how this was going to end well.

"What're you doing up there?" Kate asks him.

"I'm just hangin' out." He says mockingly. "What do you think?

Grills and the others finally appeared again at the door. "Guys, guys! Where's our gear?" Kate asks them.

"We need our gear." I murmured as I looked over at Clint again. Grills had called over Missy, of who was holding two bags before handing them over to us. "Any eyes on Eleanor?" I asked as I put the quiver over my back and took out the bow.

"Okay, look, we need to get Clint out of that tree." Kate said to them. "Clear the civilians, for us."

"If we can keep the tracksuits away from the civilians, there'll be far less casualties." I added on.

"What about that guy? He doesn't seem to-" Conrad pointed over at Jack, of who was having the time of his life still.

Kate turned back. "He's on our side, but we should probably get him out, too." She nodded before the two of us ran off, telling them good luck as we did so.

It didn't take long before another truck of tracksuits turned up, but, like Obi Wan, we had the high ground, now. The window in front of us smashed as I threw a toy bike at it, and that only got the attention of most tracksuits.

She jumped up onto the piano, playing two notes as she drew an arrow. "HEY BROS." The girl pulled it back and shot at them all, not one missing as I shot at a few, also.

Clint was still stuck, and we needed him out. "Get him out." I told Kate as I stood next to her on the piano. "I can deal with the rest." I shot at another two with one arrow, hearing them shout out in pain as they collapsed.

"Are you sure?" She asked me, making me raise an eyebrow.

"You're the world's greatest archer, of course I'm sure." I tell her with a smile, and she chuckled. I left Kate to it after that, jumping down at the window and rolled onto the floor, hitting two on coming tracksuits with the end of the bow.

"Kate, where's our backup?" I heard Clint ask, but they were already here, now dressed in their LARPing armour. I smiled, and heard him chuckle. "We're all gonna die."

I threw another punch at a tracksuit passing by as Jack then attacked another beside me. "Careful-" I warned him, shooting at a tracksuit behind him. "You might get dirt on your shirt." I say, smirking, but, turns out that he was now worried about his shirt.

"Clint, I need you to hang on tight." Kate tells him as I hit another three with an arrow.

"Yeah, you think-" He stopped mid sentence. "Wait, wait. What do you mean?

"I'm gonna get you out of that tree." I smirked as I another two tracksuits took a lot of shit from me.

"No, no, don't do anything. Kate?" He wasn't so sure, of course. "I'm gonna get out myself."

"You want me to say, 'On my signal' or no?" I saw her draw an arrow from the window, smiling up at her as she looked down at me for a moment.

"Kate, please don't do anything." Clint continued. I kicked a tracksuit in the ribs before shooting at his shoulder.

"Alright, I won't say it then..." She had now drawn the arrow back in the bow.

"Repeat after me- 'I'm not gonna do anything incredibly stupid.'" And she shot the arrow, taking out two of the cables, making the tree far less sturdy as it was before.

"Kate, what just happened?" Clint asked her. "KATE DO NOT-

"Timmmmbbbbeeeerrrr." I heard her say, quiet as ever, but extremely mischievous. The Christmas tree fell, quickly, with us both hearing Clint yell as it happened. It landed on the ice rink, and the star clattered around, now broken.

"Not what I had in mind... but that works." I murmured, smiling slightly. Kate joined me seconds later, seeing all the tracksuits piling down the staircases towards where Clint was. "Shall we?" I asked her, already knowing she knew what I meant.

"We shall." The two of us ran to the edge, jumping off the edge to where the ice rink was and landed down in style, with her gliding across to shoot boxes to set off a gas to leak out in the air. I, meanwhile, shot a more explosive arrow up to the tracksuits, keeping them busy for as long as I could as the both of us glided towards Clint.

"We're too exposed." The man said, and I rolled my eyes, helping her up with my hand. "Let's go." The two of us ran ahead, while Clint shot one of the magnetic arrows across at a tracksuit. It had a domino-like effect, though, and a lot of the tracksuits no longer had weapons to use due to the arrow's trick.

"Nice one." I smiled, shooting over at a tracksuit coming our way, still.

"That should hold them off for a bit." Clint said, now taking his shirt off to reveal Kate's costume.

"OH MY GOD, YOU WORE IT-" She said, noticing immediately. Clint gave me a look and I sighed, taking the vest off to reveal what she'd designed for me. The purple arrow went across my chest, and there was a design around the cuffs of arrow ends in a lighter magenta colour.

"Yeah, yeah-" I began, already seeing the look on the girl's face.

"OH MY GOD, THEY LOOK SO GOOD, I TOLD YOU-" I smiled and leaned forward as she continued to ramble on, kissing her cheek.

"Yeah, okay." I tell her, smiling as she was suddenly quiet, and very much blushing. "Listen, we need to get off the ice, okay?" I tell her, and she agreed.

"The only way off this ice is up those stairs." Clint says, gesturing back at the stairs behind us. The tracksuits were coming back now, armed and ready.

"Great. There's only about a thousand of them and three of us." Kate said, really putting out what we had going for us.

"Here-" He leaned over to her and took out trick arrows and put them in her quiver. I did the same as he spoke. "take these."

She glanced at the arrows in her quiver as I moved away, drawing an arrow. "No way. Is it time?" She asked us, and I smirked.

"It's time." Clint told her as the three of us stood up.

"Rules are simple: don't die." I tell them both. "Oh- and one other thing." Clint smirked. "Give 'em hell."
