I just wanted to start off this by saying that i'm terribly sorry that i haven't been writing for a while now. I still have the next chapter in my drafts and I am suffering from major writers block right now.
So, I've always noticed the hate all "Y/n" books are getting and I have to agree with them.
Before I started writing I used to read loads of "Y/n x reader" stories because i always felt so connected to characters to where i would feel quite jealous when i saw other names, but now i've realized that "Y/n" books are more about what the reader wants than what the writer wants.
I know if i made a mistake when i'm writing i would be criticized by readers on how "But i have blah blah blah colored hair" or "blah blah blah sense of humor" and now i recognize how much more free i feel when i don't have to write the main character based off of the people reading the book.
From now on i'm going back into my old chapters and rewriting a different name for the Main character. I already have a name picked out.
If you decide to not continue on reading this book i will just say that i'm truly sorry that i couldn't meet your standards.
Thank you for your time, i wish you all the best.
