song of the day: Winter Wonderland
After a bit more communication, the group of Gryffindors decided to turn the game day into a party. It would only be the eight of them, and it would be rather lowkey.
James was personally terrified, because he had been avoiding Lily, avoiding her answer. But now he knew what to tell Lily, and he had a good pitch for it too. Maybe it wouldn't even come up.
Since the previous day, the boys had actually finished their stock of sweets from before, so they went back down to restock, and then it was time to go down to the room of requirement. Remus still wasn't feeling too well, but he felt up to the party.
"Let's play truth or dare," Peter suggested eagerly. Everyone had sort of the same reaction.
"I don't know, it's kind of boring now."
"Especially when half our population are couples," Lily mumbled under her breath. James heard her and silently agreed.
They decided to just chill and eat food. Nobody was really in the mood to do anything else. It wasn't even boring or anything. They chatted, and laughed.
James sat as far away from Lily as possible. He wanted to wait til the last minute to have this confrontation.
