nini rolled over in her bed allowing a yawn to escape her lips as she was woken up by the ringing of her phone.
"hello" she said sleepily, placing her phone by her ear not even paying attention to the caller id
a sniffle came through the other side of the phone "sorry were you sleep?" the voice came through the other side of the phone "i didn't even realize it was 3am. sorry i-i"
"no, no it's okay. what's wrong kourt?" nini asked, sitting up and wiping her eyes, trying her best to wake up.
"me and howie—we got into an argument and it was a really really bad one this time nini. i just—i don't know if we can recover. i love him and i don't want to lose him."
"so why don't you tell him that kourt? you have to communicate with him if you want to work things out"
kourtney sniffled, wiping her eyes "i said some things i can't take back—we both did and i just, do you think he needs time to calm down?"
nini sighed "try to give it a few hours kourt then talk to him. he loves you too and i'm sure he wants to fix things just as much as you do. stop stressing about it"
"are you sure?" kourtney asked on the other end of the phone, her voice full of hope.
nini nodded her head before realizing that the girl couldn't see her "yes i'm sure. now get some sleep kourt. you're gonna need it"
"okay, thank you nini"
"what are friends for" the girl said before hanging the phone up and collapsing on her bed.

"nini are you busy!" ej exclaimed, bursting into nini's dorm like it was his own.
she made a mental note to lock the door. "uh i was actually working on—"
"i need you. it's kinda urgent" ej told her with pleading eyes, that nini simply couldn't say no to. it was obvious that something wrong and she'd feel bad if she didn't help him.
"okay, fine. come in" nini said closing her books and turn in around in her swivel chair to face ej "what's going on?"
"my parents are really really on me. i changed my major for the fifth time and they're not exactly happy about it. i mean, i can imagine myself doing so many different things in the future it's only natural that if i'm not feeling that major in, i'll change it. and the one i'm currently in actually makes me happy. i think this is the one i'll stick with but i guess they don't believe me since i've changed it so many times before" he ranted.
