nini stood in front of the full body mirror that sat in her room, straightening out her dress. it was emerald green and gorgeous on her. the dress fit her body perfectly.

"do you think this dress makes me look fat?" nini asked turning sideways, examining the dress from every side possible"

"nini you know you look gorgeous in that dress, but i do want to talk to you about something" Gina told the girl.

nini raised her eyebrow before walking away from the mirror and taking a seat next to gina on the bed.

"what's up?"

"we're about to go to Ricky's rehearsal dinner. how do you feel about that?"

nini nervously swallowed "what do you mean how do i feel?" she asked

"Nini. seriously"

i'm happy for him. i'm happy he found someone he's genuinely in love with, and i can tell lily loves him. as long as ricky is happy, i'm happy" nini told her

"are you sure?"

"why wouldn't i be?"

"because you've had a crush on him for forever. those feelings don't just go away nini, and ricky is getting married tomorrow. you're running out of time nini. marriage is a lifetime commitment—"

"i know that gi! i know that today marks the last day ricky will be a single man, but if ricky felt the same way about me that i do about him, he would've done something." nini exclaimed and a frown took over gina's face. she knew that this was killing nini whether she wanted to admit it or not. "now we should probably get going before we're late" nini stood up, flattening out her dress, and walking out the room.

nini entered the rehearsal dinner, and her eyes widened at how beautiful everything was. the venue was huge. it held windows that had a stunning view of the city, the walls were white, with small silver accents here and there adding a pop of color.

the chairs were silver while the table cloths were white. each table held a beautiful bouquet of white flowers with candles placed around them, wine glasses, utensils , and the plates held a small piece of card stock paper with the menu printed on it.

"wow, ricky really outdid himself" Gina said taking in her surroundings

nini swallowed nervously "yeah, i guess he did. it looks amazing in here"

"nini! i'm so glad you made it!" ricky greeted the girl, pulling her into a hug.

"you know i wouldn't miss this for the world. you're my best friend. besides, i've gotta make sure you don't embarrass yourself in front of everyone" nini joked
