Chapter 40

1 month later

The house was built and Derek drove me over. I was blindfolded. He helped me out of the car and walked me in front of the house.

"We're here" he said

"Okay I'm ready" I smiled

He took the blindfold off and I looked at this amazing house.

"It's beautiful" I smiled

"Just wait till you see the inside. Damn" he smiled

We walked inside and I stared at the amazing view. This place was huge. He brought me upstairs and we looked at our bedroom. Wow. I am mesmerized. We went to the twins room door.

"Okay so this was the thing that I was most excited for" he smiled

He opened it and my mouth was open. The whole room was beautiful pastel colors.

"Wow" I said

"I know. She did a good job with putting everything where it needed to be" he smiled

"Yeah she did" I said walking over to the cribs.

1 hour later

We left and drove home. We weren't going to pack stuff for a little bit longer. Addison was here watching the kids. I walked upstairs and went into the twins room.

1 month later

"Oh so we're going again" he smiled rolling on top of me

I got out and wrapped my blanket around me.

"You're a terrible terrible influence" I smiled

"What if I change my flight and we could go again" he smiled

"The twins are up" I smiled

"Well then it's settled. We're going again now" he smiled

"No no I'm getting up now" I smiled

Christmas is in a couple of days. Derek has to leave tonight for a clinical thing in Minnesota. I'm going to miss him. We can't even spend Christmas together. We are finally officially moved into the dream house that Derek built for us. It's so beautiful. We went shopping for the kids, his nieces and nephews, as well as his sisters. This was the first Christmas without his mom. I know he missed her. It's his favorite holiday and he can't get to spend it with her. We went him and brought all the toys and clothes into the living room. The tree was up and we brought the wrapping paper up. Derek started wrapping and putting bows on top of the presents. I fed the twins and put them back down into their cribs. They have gotten so big. I went back downstairs and went over to Derek. I helped him wrap. We finished and put the presents next to the tree.

"So everything's ready. We can take a long break" I smiled

"I know. We have until tonight" He said

"Ughhh there's going to be so many kids and your sisters hate me" I smiled

"They do not, and the kids part yeah there will be a lot of them" he smiled

"Oh I'm not ready" I said

"They are staying at Amelia's so it's fine" he said

"Oh right" I laughed

We cleaned up the house and cleaned all of the bedrooms. We put new sheets and blankets onto the beds. Everything was finally done and I went downstairs. Derek made us spaghetti. I ate some and went over to the tv. I turned Netflix on and started watching Shameless. It's so funny. I started laughing and Derek came over with Neve in his arms.

"This show is amazing" he said

"Wanna watch" I asked

"I already watched it all" he smiled

"Without me" I said looking at him

"Yes sorry" he said

"Whatever" I said looking at the tv

"Neves hungry" he said

"She just ate" I said

"She's giving me those hungry eyes" he said

I turned around and looked at her.

"I pumped earlier. There's some milk in the freezer. I don't have any right now" I said

"Okay" he said walking over to the kitchen

I turned back around and keep watching this show. He came over and sat next to me. Neve was in his arms drinking from a bottle.

"I got you something" he said

"I told you. I don't want anything" I said

"I know but you'll like it" he said handing me a little box

I unwrapped it and opened it. There were a bunch of gift cards to the spa, nail salon, salon, a whole bunch of things

"Derek" I said tearing up

"There's one for the weekend. Do everything that you want. I'm coming with though. It's a cabin hotel type thing. It's beautiful and I'll know you'll love it" he smiled

"Thank you. This was so sweet" I said

He looked down at Neve.

"You know she looks just like you right" he smiled

Both of the twins have blue eyes

"I got you something and myself too. Both are for you but one is what I'm going to wear" I smiled

He looked up at me

"Well you better bring it to where we're going this weekend" he said looking me up and down.

4 hours later

Everyone was coming here. I made freshly made cookies for everyone. Derek made burgers. They ate and we all went to the living room. I turned on The Grinch. I went upstairs and went to the twins room. They were crying. I opened the door and walked over to them. I changed both of them. I held them into my arms and sat in my rocking chair. I rocked them to sleep. I held them and stared at there beautiful faces. Someone opened the door and walked in

"Hey" Amelia whispered

"Hey" I whispered

"I was thinking about telling you something" she said

"Tell me" I smiled

"I'm dating Owen" she said

"What" I said excitedly

"Derek knows" she smiled

"Derek knows and didn't tell me" I said shaking my head

She started laughing. I got up and laid the twins down into their cribs. I left the room with Amelia and we went downstairs. I went over to Derek and grabbed his hand. I brought him to the downstairs bathroom.

"Your sister and Owen" I smiled

"Yeah she told me last night" he said

"Your sisters screwing Owen and you didn't tell me" I said

"I can't even remember where I put my phone how am I supposed to remember someone else's sex life" he smiled

I leaned in and put my hands onto his pants and ran my hands up

"So we're going again" he smiled leaning in

"Mmm" I laughed pulling his phone out

I handed it to him

"Best wife ever" he smiled kissing the side of my head

He left the bathroom.
