Ah yes, a Madrigal birthday

A whole town event I say

Like, I’m talking a party as big as the gift ceremony

And in this case, it was your lover’s birthday!

He was excited of course, wearing nice clothing their mother gifted

He requested very tasty food from his Tìa, along with perfect weather conditions from his mom

It was their first time celebrating their birthday with you as a partner

And they felt everything had to be perfect

He wanted you by his side for the event

“And this is [Name], my partner.”

You smile once again at the lady in front of you. Camilo smirked as their Tìa Julieta engulfed you into a warm embrace. His Tìo Bruno gave you a small wave with a sided smile.

“It’s lovely to meet you.” You spoke to the two. “The food here is incredible. Camilo has talked about your cooking for so long.”

The lady chuckled as Camilo’s Tìo walked to another group. “You flatter me. Glad to know Camilo has favourites.”

Camilo squeezed your hand with a smile as she walked off, most likely to tend to the food. Though you weren’t one for parties, this one wasn’t entirely bad.

What got you most excited was the gift you got for Camilo

You had zero clue what to even try to get them

The Madrigals were gift givers, listening to anything and everything he wanted and saving it for birthdays

So when you thought about it, you had to pick something unique

Along with something he would like

And you managed to do just that!

“Mi vida, what is going on?”

You smile as you sit down your lover on his bed. You told them you wanted to get away from the party for a little to give them their gift. He was excited, so they obliged.

“Just wait!” You respond, moving to grab a box on the side.

The box opens, revealing his present. You take it in your hands, kneeling in front of Camilo.

“Alright ‘Milo..” You say softly. “Open your eyes.”

His eyes open, and he can now see what you have gotten him. They grow excited as you hand them their present.

“Mi amada, he’s amazing! Thank you thank you thank you!”

You laugh as Camilo showers you with hugs and kisses at their gift. In his hands, they hold a chameleon.

The chameleon begins to change colours to match his environment. Camilo does the same, changing into a copy of you.

You only laugh as he changes back, thank you once again.
