"Another rose?"
"Please?" Camilo begged his eldest cousin.
Isabela sighed, "I don't know, Cami... I mean, how many times have you tried this?"
"It's gonna work this time!"
"Like you said it was gonna work out last time? Camilo, you've tried this a thousand times,"
"Exactly," he cheered, earning an eye roll from Isabela, "But I have a plan this time!"
Isabela sighed, "How about you actually try telling them how you feel?"
It was a pretty well known fact that Camilo was head over heels for Y/N L/N.
No matter how tired his sisters and cousins would get over how hard he tried to impress Y/N, he would never give up.
But unfortunately, no matter how obvious Camilo made it, Y/N would ignore it all. Every hint, every blush, even the biggest of signals, Y/N would just push aside and say they were imagining it.
Camilo awkwardly rubbed the back of his neck, "Th-that doesn't work."
"Oh really?"
"Yeah, really. I've tried, like a million times, but they just don't get it."
Isabela cocked her head to the side, "Have you told them? Or have you just been dropping small little signals?"
Camilo opened his mouth to say something, but stopped as if the words died on his lips.
The eldest Madrigal grandchild sighed, "Really, Cami? You know that Y/N would never pick up on something like that, you just gotta tell them how you feel."
"Easier said than done," Camilo mumbled.
Isabela rolled her eyes, picked up a small, empty flower pot that was sitting by her door and grew a small cactus in her hands, placing it in the pot, "Give them this. Say you like them. Now go."
With that, she placed the tiny cactus in his hands.
Camilo stared at his cousin in confusion, "A cactus? H-how will a cactus help?"
"Just trust me."

Camilo huffed as he stared at the small cactus in his hands, "Why the hell am I giving them a cactus. 'Hey, Isa, I need a flower to give to my crush,'" he then shifted into his cousin, mimicking her, "'Just give them a cactus and tell them how you feel,'" he then shifted back into himself with a sigh, "Last time I ever go to her for advice."
Camilo continued his walk up the steep hill, his legs aching with every step.
"Y/N," he began, already out of breath, "You're awesome, and I lov-like you beyond description... but why does your house have to be on a fucking hill?!"
Eventually, Camilo found himself standing in the doorway of Y/N's house.
Once he caught his breath, which took longer than he had hoped, he hit his knuckled against the hard, wooden door.
With no answer, Camilo knocked on the door again.
"Y/N?" he called out, getting slightly worried.
