[Part 4 of They're Mine]

"Thank you for coming [Name!]" Mirabel pulled up a few chairs to the table, sitting right next to her best friend.

"No, thank you for inviting me over!" [Name] replied ethusiastically, passing Mirabel a plate filled with her mother's homemade food. "Let's just hope tonight doesn't turn awkward."

Mirabel let out a light hearted laugh, raising her glass. "To another perfect day!"

"Salut!" Everyone shouted, raising their glasses in the air.

The twins, Carlos & Camilo, were staring their older sister down, both of their eyes practically glued to their sister's face.

Dolores let out a quiet whimper, looking like a deer in the headlights. Her fingers tapped against her glass nervously, waiting for the right time to tell her secret.

Eventually, Carlos started to eat his food out of hunger, leaving his brother to keep an eye on Dolores. Camilo continued to do so, until a plate was shoved in his face by his Tio Agustin. "Maiz?"

Camilo gasped, grabbing the plate and quickly moving it out of the way, watching his sister spill the beans to Isabela. "They have a crush on [Name]."

Blanketflowers and Daylillies sprouted on Isabela's head, her mouth agape in shock. "Mija, fix your hair." Julietta politely pointed out, helping her daughter pick the flowers off.

Carlos glanced at his younger brother, raising an eyebrow in confusion. "Over there." Camilo pointed, fear written all over his face.

Before Carlos got a chance to look, a jug filled with juice was handed to him by Luisa. "Jugo?" Carlos set the jug down, looking at the other side of the table in horror.

"They have a crush on [Name]." Isabela whispered indistinctly to her mother, covering the side of her face with her hand.

"De Verdad?!" Julietta's hands went over her mouth, knocking over her drink in the process. She hurriedly cleaned up the mess, apologizing profusely.

The twins exchanged looks, getting a small sense of deja vu. They knew how this would end, considering this exact situation has already happened before. By the time they looked back, they saw their Tia Julietta whispering to their mother. "They have a crush on [Name]."

Pepa's jaw had dropped, but instead of the usual raincloud that would appear above her head, a rainbow had taken its place.

"Pepa, are you alright?" Abuela asked, putting a hand on her shoulder in case she needed to comfort her. "I'm fine Mama." Pepa reassured with a smile brighter than the sun, whispering the news to her husband Felix.

As if things couldn't get any worse, [Name] spoke up, earning everyone's undivided attention. "Carlos? Camilo? Everything okay?"

"Everything's fine!" Carlos responded, nudging his brother to say something as well. "You should probably head home now, it's getting pretty late." Camilo suggested, forcing an awkward smile.

"I was actually gonna.."

"Dolores! Can you just spit it out already?! This is getting embarrassing to watch." Isabela begged, looking down at her food in second hand embarrassment.

"Spit out what?" [Name] questioned, looking over at Dolores with uncertainty written all over their face.

"Carlos and Camilo like you." Dolores blurted out, taking a sip of her drink to avoid the looks of betrayal she was receiving from her younger brothers.

"What?!" Mirabel exclaimed, groaning. "I can't have anything in this house!" She complained, grabbing [Name] by the shoulder. "[Name]! Please tell me you don't like them back!"

Carlos and Camilo stared at you, anticipating for an answer.

"Well.." [Name] rubbed the back of their head, blood rushing up to their cheeks.

"I would be lying if I said I didn't."
