After Braden reasured me.and I knew I was okay. I decided to try singing again. This time Braden was up there with me.
I sang Battle Scars for the girl, because I want her to know that if she struggles she is not alone.
After I was done the crowd went wild.
"Thank you guys so much!" I say and start to get teary eyed.
Braden squeezes my hand. I walk off the stage and start to walk to the car.
(Braden's POV)
After the show Chloe started to cry I knew she was tired.
"What's wrong? Are you just tired?" I ask.
"Yeah I miss Kareena"she says.
"I'm sorry." I say and kiss her forehead.
"It's cold. " she says.
"Here." I say and give her my jacket.
"Won't you be cold? " She asks.
"No it's okay. I'll be fine." I say.
"Okay." She says.
"Let's head home" I say and start to drive.
A few hours later I'm woken up by a scream I thought I heard in my dream.
"Chloe?!"
I race to her room to find her sitting up in bed in tears.
"What's wrong?" I ask.
I-I had a nightmare she said as the tears start again.
"What happened in it?" I say and cuddle with her.
"I was raped...."
"Who was raping you?" I ask.
"I don't remember I was in India though. "
she shivers. I pull the blankets tighter around her.
"I'm sorry baby. It's okay though, it was just a nightmare." I say.
"I can't sleep. " she moaned.
"I'll stay up with you." I say.
"Okay thanks" she says. "But what about your show? "
"I'll be tired, but I can just drink coffee." I say.
She sighs.
"You're okay." I whisper and hug her tighter.
"I wish you didn't have to go back to Canada. " she says.
"I'm sorry. I wish I didn't have to either." I say.
"I'm going to miss you" she says.
"When do you leave? " She asks sadly.
" 2 weeks " I say rubbing her back."
"Oh." She says sadly.
"have you talked to your parents from the last time they called?" I ask.
"No." She says.
"Are you going to go back to them when I leave?" I ask.
"No. All they care about is Sadie and if Misty has it her way she'll put me back in the hospital. "
"But what about your dad?" I ask.
"He loves Misty too much."
"Doesn't mean he doesn't love you." I say.
"I guess your right." She says.
"I think you should at least go visit them." I say.
"Okay if it'll make you happy and if it makes you come back faster than I will." She says.
