"Wake up girls!" Anastasia says.

"Hey Anastasia!" We say. "Is Amber not coming in today?"

"No. She's at home, sick with the flu." She says.

I'm secretly glad. I like Anastasia a lot better than Amber.

"Oh." I say.

"Everyone ready for breakfast and meds?" "Time to get up!" I hear her calling into another room.

"I"ll miss you Marissa. " I say.

"I'll miss you more Chloe" Marissa says. We hug each other and I almost cry. I don't want her to leave, but she has to.

"If you go see Braden, tell him that I miss him and that I'm okay....." My voice breaking on the last word.

"I will" she whispers into my ear.

"Marissa, your bus is here." Anastasia says.

"Okay" she says. She hugs me tightly and says good bye.

I sit on my bed wishing I could leave too.

I wish I could call my dad and tell him to pick me up. I don't want to be in this stupid place.

"Chloe? " Anastasia says.

"Yes?"

"We just got a call from your insurance company your insurance ran out. Someone needs to come and sign you out."

"Wait what?!" I say.

"We just got a call-"

"No, I heard you. But are you serious?" I say cutting her off.

"Yes" she says.

"Omg! Yay!" I say excitingly.

"My stepmom's not going to like this" I say after a few minutes.

"Why not?" Anastasia asks.

"She and my dad love my little stepsister more. "

"I doubt that." She says.

"Can I call my dad?" I ask.

"Sure use the phone in the hall. "

"Okay. Thank you" I say and walk into the hall.

The phone rings 3 times before Misty picks up.

"Hello. Who is this?" Misty says.

"It's me, Chloe. " I say.

"Oh. What do you need?" She asks

" I need you to pick me up."

"What do you mean?" She asks.

"My insurance ran out." I say "they're discharging me."

"Oh." She says.

"Can you pick me up?" I ask.

"I'll ask your father, or call your mom."

"Why do you hate me now?" I ask.

"I don't. Not exactly you just need help " She says "and besides don't you miss your mom?"

"Yes but I miss you to." I say.

"Here's your father. "

"Okay." I say.

"Hey princess" he says.

"Hey." I say.

"So what's going on?" He asks.

"My insurance ran out."

"Okay. I'll come get you." He says.

"Right now?"

"Yes. Be there in a little bit." He says.

"Okay. Bye" I say and hang up the phone.
