"Misty was right." I thought. "I do belong in a mental hospital."

I decided to go take a shower and wash all this smeared makeup off.

After I washed my makeup off I tried going to bed but couldn't fall asleep.

"I wish Braden was here to sing to me." I thought.

I turn my iPod on to "the distance that took you away." The song he wrote for me before he left for tour.

It made me a little bit happier and I started singing along.

Soon I eventually fell asleep and when I woke up I felt someone rubbing my back and picking me up.

"Mom?" I said sleepily.

"It's Braden" Braden says.

"Omg how are you here already?" I ask wide awake.

"You were asleep princess." He said smiling softly.

"Oh. Well why didn't you wake me up?" I ask.

"Because you needed sleep." He says.

"No I didn't" I protest. "I've been sleeping because of these meds."

"Oh." He says.

"Yeah, I just want to spend time with you........" I cut off.

"But maybe Misty was right........"

"What do you mean? What was she right about?" He asks.

"That I do belong in a mental hospital......." I say squeezing his hand. "I'm just as emotionally unstable as my mom."

"Don't say that. But if you feel like you need to go back then you can.. But I hope you don't" He says.

"Please help me through this!" I beg him.

"Come sit down." He says. I sit next to him.

"Okay" I say cuddling into him.

"Chloe you can't change what happened to your mom. You can change the way you think about it though. I know it's hard losing someone, especially your mom.. But think of the positive things.. Think of times when you and your mom were laughing or having a good time."

"We never really did. She drank a lot. " I say.

"Okay but try to remember times when she was sober and made you laugh." He says.

"It's hard " I say. "But I'll try."

"Good." Braden says.
