~part sixteen~

Summary
Armin experiences drastic mood swings and Eren might have something to do with it

She waved back. "Don't forget to help Eren." The girl smiled. "For me."

The boy watched her for a long time before deciding to leave too. It wasn't like in the love stories where the two end up together happily. And even if it was, she definitely wasn't one of them.

Mikasa walked through the almost empty hallways, a small group of boys was still waiting by the entrance for a reason she didn't care much for. She hadn't realized how much darker it had become, but it made sense as the sun was hidden by dark clouds.

While she was leaving, she gripped the phone in her pocket tighter. In her other hand she held an umbrella that she rightly decided to take with her this morning. She didn't wait much longer, taking her phone out and dialing a number while she walked. Why didn't she have this number already? Well, she couldn't know the answer.

Bringing it to her ear, she patiently listened to the ringing and waited for somebody to pick up. On the ground, she noticed large raindrops slowly increasing their number.

Eren was standing outside in the still pouring down storm. He was completely drenched from the rain, but still didn't seem to move.

Armin gripped tightly on the doorknob he was still holding from the shock. He didn't know what was the right reaction to all this, should he close the door, or let him inside? What would be smarter?

"Who is it, Armin?" His sister asked from the kitchen and slowly approached her brother after he didn't answer the first time. She was more of confused, not remembering who it was at first.

Eren spoke instead, ignoring the other person. "Armin, I.. " his shivery voice was hinting a feeling of guilt that made Armin's eyes widen. Eren kept his mouth opened, moving his eyes quickly on the ground. Yes didn't dare to look up. "I'm so sorry." He finally let out, almost impossible to catch.

The blonde slowly moved his hand towards the soaking boy, as to maybe touch him, but hesitated at last. "Are you stupid?" He asked in a worried tone. "Right now, Eren?"

Eren didn't answer. Another lighting, followed but a loud thunder. It lighted up Eren's features, making it easier to spot the sorrow in his eyes. It reminded him of that day at school where he cried. He didn't know why but cold shivers went down his spine once again.

He hadn't seen him since then. And now he was standing right in front of him, fat from thinking of punching him again. It made him somehow relieved because he thought that was the end. But he wanted it to be the end, right?

He first assumed he was here to apologize for that day. If that was it, he was using a very dramatic way to do it. Waiting a few seconds more, Armin realized he wouldn't get an answer.
