~chapter 10 of part 2~
Summary
Hitch and Annie try to fix their relationship"What's wrong with her?" Armin asked Sasha while his nervousness continued to grow.
The girl shrugged, staring at Hitch. "I'm not sure.. She didn't told me when I asked."
She was only staring ahead of her, not even sure at what. The whole idea of coming here was stupid. It wasn't a good distraction and honestly the loud noise was making her head ache.
How were the other people able to have fun out there? Don't they know all the responsibilities of being an adult? She looked at her phone which she held since the start, seeing no new notifications. She was about to unlock it and begin typing, when something brushed on her shoulder. Or actually, someone.
She turned around, hurrying to hide her phone in her pocket, only for her pulse to go back to normal when she noticed it was Annie. "Do you want to go outside for a little?"
Hitch nodded, not having a second thought. "Sure." She slowly got up, taking her bag with her and following the blonde girl to the exit, without bothering to tell the others.
But the night air sure was refreshing. Feeling the breeze on her face and seeing her hair slightly move, she inhaled loudly only to exhale a second later. It had gotten dark already.
Inside was way too stuffy, together with the excessive smell of alcohol and all the people they had never met. If you think about it, going to a night club was something strange. If you even dare to go alone, you wouldn't know anybody and still want to dance with them, get drunk and do what else. For her already eighteen years old life, it was her first time going to a place like this. And she hated every part of it, more or less because it didn't work well as a distraction.
Of her request, they decided to go further, wherever the road would take them. For her surprise, Annie didn't say anything against it. Maybe she wasn't a party person either.
And it took them to a more peaceful and lovely place, where the land met the sea, crushing its waves into the hard rocks with a relaxing sound. This beach was mostly rocks, but it still was beautiful. Especially with the moon reflecting in the dark water.
Hitch wrapped herself with her jacket placed on her shoulders while she stared at something ahead. Even in the semi darkness, she could make out the wooden road that led further into the sea.
"Do you think it'd be a bad idea?" She asked the girl next to her, pulling the edges of her jacket closer to her.
Annie also looked at the dock. "I don't see anyone around." She admitted. "Do you want to go there?"
Hitch nodded, suddenly moving her hand forward and stopping right before the connection, realizing what she was doing. Instead she started walking faster towards the dock, only hoping Annie would follow her. As her foot landed on the first plank she got more careful with her steps, feeling glad at last that she chose not to wear high heels. At last she sat on the edge, tossing her body in contrast with the previous caution.
Looking at the water a little bit under her legs, she once in awhile felt the small drops of water after a wave passing. With the back of her eye she could see her friend doing the same next to her. She turned around to look at her.
