~chapter 3 of part 2~

Summary
A one not so bad basketball match and even better consequences

Sasha had focused and her last brain cell into looking at the flying ball above their heads. She had to think fast if she wanted to actually score a strike.

She quickly wiped the sweat on his forehead away and inhaled, feeling the adrenaline already kicking in. The ball dangerously approached the basketball hoop and she strained. In the end, it missed.

The girls' disappointed yells echoed the already empty yard. Good! Their chances weren't low.

"Armin!" Connie throwed the ball as high as he could, managing to avoid Sasha's hands. The blonde felt how his muscles tensed up but didn't let himself panic. He could do it, it wasn't the first time nor the last. He was going to do it!

He digged his nails into the hard material, not being able to hide his smile. Now it was all about speed.

He quickly passed through the court, managing to keep away from Annie and Hitch without enhancing his legs, getting closer and closer to the hoop.

When he was close enough he stopped his feet and brought the orange ball to his chest, in a position to try throw.

He stood like that for longer than he expected, realizing he was anxious. If he didn't strike, then his team would lose. If his team was to lose, then nothing really would have happened, except he'd feel bad. He stared at the hoop, feeling how the others behind him were getting closer.

"Here, give me!" Eren waved with his hands, trying to get his attention. Armin didn't think twice and tossed the ball to Eren, who didn't hesitate to try and succeed.

He smiled in a little haughty way and Armin did too, even though he wasn't looking at him.

"Okay, good one!" Hitch yelled with a breathy voice. "I'll let it be draw this time, but the next time don't expect so much sympathy from us!"

"Guys, let's do this with the hands!" Sasha ran towards the others and pleaded with a breathy voice.

Not waiting a second more, they all placed their hands one on another before lifting them in the air at the same time, rejoicing loudly. Sasha had seen this happen in a movie or something and since then she insisted on doing it together after a match, not that anyone complained.

The air around them was hot even though the temperatures had decreased a little with the sunset. The sky was in a beautiful color, something between orange and pink. The school yard had planted flowers in a light pink color in the corners, they made the scenery even more fabulous. Armin looked up in ecstasy, realizing this moment would be a one he'd remember for long.

When he lowered his gaze again, he noticed something was off. Everybody was looking at him, expecting something to happen. He looked back in question.

"Sooo, Armin. Have you got any plans for the summer vacation?"

"Oh, well, not yet." He shrugged, placing his palm on his neck. "I haven't really planned anything. And you?"

Sasha ignored the question. "Oh, that's really sad. If only there was something you could do." She smiled mysteriously and looked at the others, who didn't look any less confusing. "Right, Eren?"
