Ah, it's finally here, I'm sorry for the late update this time!! (It is kind of late, isn't it?) Another thing even, I doubt this chapter is edited well enough, but I didn't have the energy to do any more than that. In short many things in mind much time little motivation and yes.. Sorry!

"Please, I just want to see it!" She begged him as she tried to approach him, but the boy was way faster. Plus the sand was slowing her little feet down well enough.

Eren turned around with a huge grin on his face. "It's mine, find your own!" He gripped onto the seashell he was holding, it wasn't big but in his hands it sure seemed so.

The girl tried her best to run faster, the idea of looking around and seeing all different kinds of seashells not even crossing her mind. What would you expect from a six years old? Eren turned around completely, kicking the sand towards her direction. She hardly had the time to cover her face, Eren laughed at his doing and continued running around the beach, splashing water around his legs while he entered the warm water he knew well.

He focused his gaze on the blue shining streak ahead of him, that seemed endless, and didn't think twice before throwing the possession in his hand as far as he could into the water. With a little splash, it quickly sank down. Ilsa was millimeters away from stopping him, but she again wasn't quick enough.

Eren's lips pursed.

When they were nine Eren was in his hero phase, where he insisted on doing something people would remember him for. He, without telling anybody else, had decided to enter the abandoned house a few houses away from his own, which was famous for its ghost stories that the kids in school liked to tell. With a wooden stick in one hand, he was going to drive away every evil entity that had the courage to come his way.

Ilsa wasn't as much brave as him, so mostly stayed behind him, peeking from behind his shoulder. He not only once told her that if she was afraid, then she didn't have anything to do here. But she insisted.

Anyway, both of them ran with screams after hearing the cawing of the crow that had made a nest in the corner in the ceiling. And Eren never admitted it, but he never even thought about coming back there again.

Or when they were twelve. Eren had just gotten his first phone without buttons, and he was really proud of it. He wasn't patient enough not to show his only friend immediately, more like bragging about it, showing her all the cool games he had downloaded without his parents' permission. Her family wasn't wealthy enough to afford her one yet, so she was really impressed with it, even begged him to try. She honestly spend more time on his phone than Eren himself.

He remembered how once it slipped out her hand and the screen cracked a little. He never blamed her for it and took the fault in front of his parents. It wasn't pleafull, but he didn't want his friend to get in trouble.

He was happy, indeed. But the age of twelve was the final year. When he turned thirteen, he noticed the change in his father's behavior towards him. Eren mostly remembered him as a ghost when it came to his childhood, but after this everything had started to change.

Mikasa was a new addition to the family, he didn't mind her at all. As it was obvious already, he didn't have many friends, so they quickly got along. He never got the chance to officially introduce the two girls to each other, though. And he knew the reason.
