The rest of yesterday consisted of Miracle and I were given looks and constantly grinned at anytime we interacted with each other. I seriously think that my family, best friend and used-to-be neighbor need to get a life.

Miracle and I aren't that interesting.

After we had breakfast, I told Miracle to be done in thirty minutes and to dress warmly. In those thirty minutes, I got myself ready for the day, had a minor stress-related freak out at myself and grilled myself on what we were going to do.

Jules came in after a bit, in the middle of me pacing and crossed her arms, frowning. "You're not going on trial." She told me.

I gave her a look. "I know. It just has to be--"

"Perfect?" She finished my sentence and rolled her eyes. "I get that you like things to be perfect and everything but this can't be perfect to be perfect. If you try to make it your idea of perfect, it'll feel artificial. You have to let things go how they want to go with only a bit of guidance. Enjoy yourself." She emphasized the last part.

I thought about what she said and sighed. "Yeah. You're right." I looked at her. "I'm just nervous. Want if I mess up? What if I make a fool of myself and she realizes that I'm weird and doesn't want to be with me anymore?" I asked her.

She shook her head. "Nah. You've done that already and she still likes you. But hey, you don't have to do the awkward meet-the-family dinner or anything. She's already met your crazy family." She joked, trying to lighten the mood and give me a positive side.

My eyes widened. "Oh my god! What if it's awkward now at dinner and stuff?!" I asked her, my mind spitting out millions of what-ifs branching just from that one what-if.

"Hey." She grabbed me by the shoulders and shook me. "Stop worrying. You two already had breakfast. Was that awkward?"

I shrugged. "Not really, I guess. Although it would really help if you all didn't send us looks and grins every minute we do anything that has us interacting even a bit."

She raised her hands in defense and said, "Fine. I understand that that's a bit..." She drifted off, trying to find the right word.

"Annoying? Rude? Frustrating?" I offered a few different word choices to her.

She nodded. "Yeah. All of those. Listen," She stepped back. "I'll talk to the others about it but I can guarantee you that you need to have fun and try not to worry too much for this date to work."

I blushed. "It's not a-"

Dot poked his head in. "Miracle's waiting for you so you can start your date."

I sighed in defeat. "Fine. Tell her that I'll be out in a moment. I just need to grab something." I told him, making him nod and leave. I then turned back to Jules. "Now, you shoo."

She raised her eyebrow at me. "Oh? That just makes me want to stay more. What exactly did you get for her?"

I opened my mouth to protest that I didn't get her anything--which was a complete lie--but Jules stopped me.

"You need to get something before your date with Miracle, you want me to shoo and you tend to give gifts to people." She pointed out.

I sighed again. "Yeah. Okay. Maybe I got her something. Who cares?" I walked over to grab something off my nightstand. "It's just a little something."

"And what is this 'little something'?"

"Nosy much? You'll see it soon enough." I told her, slipping the little box in my pocket.

In all honesty, it wasn't much but I wanted Miracle to be the first to see it. Call me picky or whatever but after all, it was her gift.

Jules sighed. "Fine. I get it. I'll back off." She said and headed towards the door. She turned to face me once more. "Remember, your princess in.....shining armor is waiting?" She looked confused as she said that.

I almost laughed.

She shrugged. "Eh, I tried. Miracle is waiting." She left after she said that to me.

I don't really know why I was so nervous. It was literally like every other time we hung out with each other.

Except for the fact that your family, best friend and her best friend will be watching you two interact and you can now hold hands and comment on how cute each other looks, I'm reminded by my helpful brain.

"Aw, shut up and get out there already. You're, like," I glanced at my watch. "Five minutes later than Dot would normally be and that's saying something." I told myself and then did exactly that.

Miracle was chatting with Dot and Meg, smiling. She was wearing light pink pants with a light grey or white hoodie and fidgeting with the strap of a black crossbody purse which was cute.

Right then I was talking about the purse but you know, she was just kinda cute too--that was me joking if you couldn't tell. I actually was talking about the purse but I was also saying that she was cute.

I think?

I can't really remember what I said--or rather thought.

She finally noticed me and smiled as she came over to where I was standing.

"Ready to go?" She asked.

"Wait. Shouldn't I be asking you that?" I asked her. "Since, you know, I just might have planned the day out."

She laughed. "You should, I guess, but you didn't so I'm here to ask it instead."

"Actually, I had just gotten out of my room." I told her.

Jules chose that moment to slide into our conversation. "Ha, as if. Don't think I didn't see you standing there for a good minute just checking out Miracle."

I blushed and Jules grinned.

"Come on, Miracle. Let's go." I grabbed her hand and led her to the garage, where my truck was.

Miracle smiled at me once we got settled in the truck. "So, where are we going? Or what are we doing?" She asked me.

I shook my head. "Not telling."

"So, it's a surprise?"

"I guess, in the literal definition of the word. It's not really intended to be a surprise." I said, pulling out of the garage and pressing the button to close it again. "But, what I have planned is still great. I think. I mean, I hope it is."

She smiled at me. "I'm sure it will be."

I smiled back but I was still second guessing myself. I then--in the middle of worrying--scolded myself. She was going to like what I had planned because I had thought about it for a while.
