After I parked the truck, we walked through the snow.

Well, obviously we walked through the snow. We didn't just stand there. After all, we had places to be.

Actually, before we started walking, I stared at her trying to get the guts to give her the little gift I had gotten her.

I guess I had been staring at her for a little too long because she waved her hand in front of my face.

"Hello? Anyone there?" She asked.

"Um, yeah. Sorry. I wanted to give you something." I said, nervousness seeping into my tone.

She looked curious. "Oh?" Her facial expression then changed to complete panic. "Wait, was I supposed to get you something? 'Cause I didn't. Is that what girlfriends do? Wait, are we girlfriends? Or something else?"

I held my hand up. "Miracle. Relax." I put my hand down. "I tend to get people gifts without them asking me to. You didn't have to get me anything." I dug the little jewelry box out of my pocket and almost shyly gave it to her.

She looked at me--almost as if for confirmation that it was hers--and then opened the box. She then took the contents out to see them better. It was a simple chain charm bracelet that was filled with charms already.

"A completed charm bracelet?" She asked me, confused. "Aren't you supposed to fill them over time?"

"Well, usually but not for this one obviously. Those are one of a kind charms that Meg helped me make. Turns out she's really good at that type of stuff but we're getting a little off-topic." I gently took the charm bracelet from her. I actually had been talking to Meg ever since the beginning of Miracle coming over since it was going to be her Christmas gift.

I mean, technically it still is a Christmas gift 'cause it was given by me. Get it? My name's Christmas and I gave her the gift and--I'm not gonna explain the whole joke. If you didn't get it already, I'm sorry.

"You see," I shifted my fingers so that some of the charms splayed out, including a blue ice skate and a red truck. "They all mean something."

"Let me guess. The truck is from me hitting your truck?"

I shrugged. "More or less. Also from when you decided it would be a great idea to sticky-note it. But there's a sticky note for that especially." I showed her.

She grinned and then her eyes widened. "You're not still mad about that, are you?" She asked, seeming slightly nervous.

I laughed. "Nah. I wasn't really mad in the first place though. It's hard to stay mad," I paused. "Maybe surprised and a tad bit upset at the beginning but drawing on your face was so worth it."

She blushed, laughing. "You did a good job though," she complimented me.

I smiled. "Thanks."

She looked back at the charms. "What's the stack of board games for though?" Miracle asked me, looking like she was a mixture of being confused and trying to figure out a complicated math formula in her head.

"Ah. That is something to come." I told her.

She pouted, which I have to say looked adorable. "Can't you tell me now?" She asked.

I laughed and shook my head. "That ruins the surprise then."

She sighed, defeated and I grinned.

"Chin up," I said. "You'll find out soon. Come on." I grabbed her hand, lacing our fingers together and started walking towards our first destination.
