Dejuan and Katie: Part 4

Dejuan's POV

"DEJUAN WAKE UP!!!!" I woke up to find myself laying on top of Katie. My hands pinning hers above her head and my fangs sinking into her neck. I quickly let her go and jumped off of her. "Katie...Baby I am so sorry...what happened!?" I asked frantically, my voice starting to break as I spoke. Katie stood up and ran to her mirror. She looked at her neck and sighed in relief, "You were having a nightmare Dae Dae. I tried to calm you down but you attacked me and now here we are." I sat on the floor, and ran my fingers through my hair, "I-I attacked you in my sleep?!" Katie walked over to me and tried to grab my hand, but I pulled away, "D-don't touch me!! I don't want to hurt you anymore!" I stood up and ran to the other side of the room. Katie sighed, "Dae Dae, it's not your fault! I'm fine!" She walked over to me and grabbed my hands, "I still love you, Dae. I'll be alright!" I stared at the floor, my eyes filling with tears, "I'm so sorry Katie...you don't know how sorry I am..." Katie wrapped her arms around me and hugged me tightly. The moment I felt her embrace me was the moment I broke down in her arms. Why did I have to cry in front of her? I'm supposed to be the Alpha. Katie held onto me for a while and just let me cry before speaking, "It's ok to cry, Dae. Everyone has those moments. I'm ok! I'm not hurt." I sighed and took a deep breath. I couldn't speak...I was too scared to do anything and to my surprise, she kissed me. Somehow she made all of my fears melt away and I was able to calm down. When she pulled away from me, she smiled softly and wiped my tears away, "Come back to bed with me." I slowly shook my head, "No...Katie I can't. I don't want to hurt you again.." She just smiled, grabbed my hand, and led me back to her bed.

Katie's POV

I guided Dejuan back to my bed and made him lay down. He tried to protest but I stopped him, "Let me help you, ok?" He just nodded and lay still. I walked over to my closet and grabbed another blanket. I walked over to my bed and laid on top of him, using the blanket to cover both of us. Dejaun wrapped his arms around me and started to play with my hair, "Princess?" "Yeah?" He sighed, trying his best to stop the tears from falling again, "Thank you...for everything." I smiled and sat up so that I was looking him in the eyes, "You're so welcome, Dae Dae." He smiled softly and I could see that he was starting to drift off. "Get some sleep, Dae. I'll be right here with you." He looked worried but nodded and closed his eyes, almost instantly falling asleep. I laid my head back down on his chest and sighed. I twitched when I felt the part of my neck where he had started to bite me, creating what seemed like a source of heat. And for the first time in one hundred and seventeen years...I fell asleep.
