Dejuan and Katie

Dejaun's POV

"Dae Dae, please listen to me!! That..that girl is a good for nothing Vampire!!!" cried my best friend, Mila. It was at that moment when I lost it, "Her name is Katie!! And she's not good for nothing!! She's my mate and I love her!!" Mila chuckled with disbelief, "You are the Alpha Dejuan!! You have to decide what's best for the pack and being with this Vampire Girl?! This isn't good Dae! You're making a mistake." And with that, she walked away from me, anger moving alongside her hips as she stormed off. I yelled in anger and turned to the sky, my gaze landing on the moon.

Katie's POV

I stared blankly at my parents as they scolded me about being with that, "wolf boy" as they put it. "He's dangerous Katie! He could kill you in an instant!" scolded my father. My parents had just found out about the relationship between me and Dae Dae and they did not approve. According to them, Vampires and Wolves aren't supposed to mix. I saw where they were coming from but I could care less. "What is the big deal guys?" I started, "Dejuan is super sweet and he cares about me!!" My mother grabbed my hand and stared into my eyes, "Trust me, this boy is not good for you." I rolled my eyes and snatched my hand away, "You don't know that!! You've never been in my place before!!" "Actually I have!! I know what it's like to be-" "Jessie no!!!" As my father called out my mother's name, I saw the complete and utter horror in my mother's face. "What it's like to be what, Mom?" My mother's pale face showed signs of warmth as she blushed from embarrassment. "N-nothing.. go to your room." I stared at my mother, my eyes turning red, "What it's like to be what. Mom?!" My mother was about to answer me but before she could, my father pushed his hand forward, teleporting me to my room and slamming the door shut. I yelled in frustration and flopped onto my bed. My room was dark and cold. The only source of light in my room came from my window. The moon was shining bright, sending a chill down my spine as I heard the howl of the wolves nearby. Dejuan. All I could think about was Dejuan! My parents would for sure launch an attack on his pack! I have to warn him, I thought to myself. I got out of bed and ran to my closet. I grabbed my running boots and my headphones. I plugged my headphones into my phone and jumped out of my window. As I ran, the cold air stung my face as tree branches scratched me. I had to get to Dejuan before my parents did! I stopped when I heard the pain filled howl of a wolf, Dae Dae!!

Dejuan's POV

"Stay away from our daughter!!" I howled in pain as I felt the sharpness of a silver dagger being dragged in a line from my chest to my stomach. Silver. A wolf's worst nightmare. Silver makes us weaker and if our bodies come in contact with enough of it, it could kill us. I fell on my knees, clutching the dagger tightly as my blood spilled from me, "Y-you c-can't...s-stop us..." I managed to say. By this point I was choking on my own blood, trying to find the air outside so that I could breathe. As I sat in the middle of the floor, Jessie, Katie's mom, walked over to me, "Our daughter doesn't need someone like you in her life. You don't deserve her!!" she shouted at me then slapped me across the face. I screamed in pain as her silver rings burned my skin. "MOM STOP!!!" I looked to my left to see Katie standing in the doorway of the cave. "K-Katie..." I tried to call out to her but her name came out as a whisper and I blacked out. The only thing I remember hearing was some shuffling and screaming...then silence.
