Dejuan's POV
Once I was outside, I checked to make sure no one was looking, then I turned into my wolf form and ran back towards my pack. Once I got there, I turned back to the human and ran to my cave where my Beta was waiting for me. "Where have you been?!" she asked, panic filling her voice. I sighed and rolled my eyes at her, "I was with Katie, Mila. What happened while I was gone. Why are you so panicked?" I asked as I walked into the woods. "Joshua and I were out on a hunt when we smelled an unfamiliar scent." I shrugged, "Ok and?" It could've been our rival pack." Mila jumped in front of me, blocking my path, "M..." "It wasn't our rival pack. It smelt like...bloodsuckers." I froze, "More...bloodsuckers?" I was confused. The only vampires I knew were Katie and her parents. I looked up then back at Mila, "Get everyone out of here and take them to a new location. We'll start a new pack there." Mila nodded and ran off to find Jason.
