Lucas and Raven (Reimagined)

"It's over. Baby...we can go home now." Lucas grabbed my hand and pulled me away from Nathan, who was now crying on his knees, begging me to come back to him. "Raven please!! She meant nothing to me!! Please!! I'm sorry!!" I held back tears as I walked away from Nathan. Lucas walked me to his car before getting in it and closing the door, "Raven.." he sighed, "I'm really sorry about Nathan. He can be such an idiot sometimes, but don't worry, Baby. He won't win." I couldn't help but smile at his words. Lucas had always been so sweet and calm. He's cared for me ever since our first day of high school.

As we drove home, Lucas continued to apologize for Nathan, but eventually stopped when I told him that it wasn't his fault. We were about three hours away from home so I ended up falling asleep.

When I awoke an hour later, Lucas was humming along to a song on the radio, while staring straight ahead. One hand was on the steering wheel and the other was on my thigh. "Oh hey! Did you sleep well?" Lucas asked me, a soft smile on his face. "Y-yeah..I guess.." I replied sleepily. I stared out of my window and watched the scenery fade into a blur as we swiftly drove down the highway. I didn't realize how deep I was in thought. Until Lucas started to speak, "What are you thinking about Raye? You ok?"

I nodded slowly, trying my hardest to keep the tears from falling, but in that fight I lost and the tears overflowed. Lucas' smile slowly faded as he gently and slowly rubbed my thigh. His touch was comforting to me and calmed me down a bit.

When pulled into the front of my house, I jumped out of Lucas' car and ran to the front door, tears streaming down my face. Lucas followed me inside and locked the front door behind him. "Go home Lucas. I don't want to talk right now!" Lucas tried to speak but I cut him off, "Go away! I don't want to talk right now!" So don't talk and just kiss me!" We both froze. I was halfway up the stairs and Lucas was standing on the first step. Had he actually just said that? Did he...actually want me to kiss him?

"W-what did you say?" I stammered. Lucas walked up the steps towards me and placed his hands on my waist. He pulled me close into him and looked me in the eyes. God this boy had the most beautiful blue eyes ever. Lucas whispered, "Kiss me Raven. Let me kiss you back and make it all better." We both leaned into each other and when our lips touched, it seemed as if everything had melted away. Lucas had the softest lips I had ever felt on my own. He was gentle with me and didn't try to force his way with me. His arms snaked around my waist as he deepened the kiss. I placed my hands on the back of his head and twirled my fingers in his gorgeous blond hair. When we eventually pulled away to breathe, Lucas took his hand and wiped my tears away, "Now stop crying over that jerk. You have someone who loves you...and he's standing right here."

I hugged Lucas as he kissed my cheek, "I love you too, Lucas." We hugged for a while, adding occasional kisses to the mix before Lucas finally spoke, "I should probably get going. You need to rest." I didn't want him to leave. I wasn't ready for him to go yet. "Can you stay with me tonight Lucas? We don't have to do anything. I just don't want to be alone right now."

Lucas smiled softly, "Anything for you, Baby Girl." He placed a gentle kiss on my lips before picking me up. I wrapped my legs around his waist as he carried me to my room. After he laid me down, he lay next to me and pulled me into his warm body. "Tired?" he asked. I shook my head, "No not really! You?" Lucas chuckled lightly and kissed my forehead, "Yes, I am. But if you're staying up then so am I."

We laughed and talked for a while longer before I noticed that Lucas was slowly falling asleep. Once he finally fell asleep, I placed a soft kiss on his lips and cuddled him. Falling asleep almost immediately after.
